In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hoping to Establish Myself :)

I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I've been a lurker for a while now and figured it was time to join and establish myself in this wonderful community!

I'm currently working on a breeding program with wild caught emeralds. My goal is to supply captive bred, healthy, well socialized emerald tree boas at a very affordable price. They are my favorite animal and it's been my dream for a long time to produce some quality animals that will prove all the myths wrong. And hopefully one day some of you will have a few of my SWEET attention seeking captive bred babies! :D

However, I also believe imports can be healthy as well and don't have any malice in my heart toward importers. I'm Switzerland if the topic ever comes up. :)

Please introduce yourself if you have the time. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you guys better!

Thank you for reading this. :wavey:

Emily,
I hope you are able to establish yourself with ETB'S and i will glady look into you when you have your first litter.

Thanks guys! They really are the most amazing creatures. Sometimes I tear up just looking at them. The first time I saw one in person it was like looking at a wild lion or roaming wolf. They just capture me with their beauty and grace. I suppose that's why most of us get into reptiles. There's just something there, you can't quite pinpoint, that draws people in.

Amanda, I see that you're new as well. What do you keep? Anyone that loves emeralds are OK in my book. :) Same goes for you Gordon! Thanks for the replies and warm welcome.

What I keep

I currently own:
1 Banana Kingsnake, Charlie
1 Brazilian Rainbow Boa, Tribal Tango
3 Ball Pythons, Reya-D'Artagnan-Willow
1 Woma Python ( the little s:censored: ) Turnip Head
1 Argentine Boa, Dharma ( 6 feet )
1 Burmese Python, Ponkapoag ( the a:censored:hat )
1 Jungle Carpet Python, Eniki ( 7 feet )
1 Amazon Tree Boa, Zahra
1 Red Blood Python, Fondue

I have a huge love of BP's, I will expand my collection once my new arrivals finish up in QT. At some point I want to get a BCI or two, A Dumeril Boa and a King Rat Snake. Those are in my immediate future. Once my Amazon Tree Boa gets large enough, I will look around for another to add my to collection. Shes so tiny right now. :D

Welcome, Emily!

Emeralds are actually a goal of mine. They are the most beautiful of snakes and I fully plan on breeding them as well! Good luck in your endeavors and I may be a future client of yours!

Wow Amanda, you've got a whole collection going on! :) I've had king snakes in the past, they're WONDERFUL. Temperament wise, they're probably my favorite snake. My emeralds are kind of high maintenance otherwise I'd probably have several of those breeds. What's your rainbow boa like? I've always been interested in them.

Thanks Basand! They really are fantastic. Do you keep any currently? If you don't and decide to get some let me know. I'd be happy to give you a few tips. I really wish someone would have done that for me. :p And if I'm successful with the breeding I'll let you know! :) Keeping them isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world, but I've heard breeding isn't supposed to be too tough. Who knows though, these guys are the complete opposite of predictable and I'd never pretend to know everything about them.

My BRB is such a wonderful snake. Ive had her since she was a tiny tiny baby. I have such a bond with her, that I dont have any desire to get another BRB. Tango is the one for me ( thats her name ). My kingsnake is the one who kicked off my love and understanding of snakes. He has the BEST personality ever, and is the favorite of my friends and family. :D

This is such a girly thing to say, but she's adorable! :) I've always had the closest bonds with boas. I think because it was so hard to gain their trust in the first place. It just makes you appreciate it all the more once you gain it.

Welcome, Emily. So glad you decided to join. I think you will find this forum to be one of the most valuable resources available to you. Between the advice you can get from other members, the classifieds, and the BOI, you really can't find a better reptile related forum!
