    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Horror beyond words... puppy deaths

Update

Just wanted to update everyone on the progress of our little puppy 'survivor'. Well, she is a week old today and has increased her body weight by 40% since Thursday! She is very strong and rarely cries... even when she is hungry. I have been bottle feeding her every 4 hours now, and she has a nice, fat little tummy. The vet saw her again today (yes, on Sunday!) and said he is thrilled with her energy, alertness, strength, muscle tone, and feeding response. I am, too!

Star has been very depressed all week, but finally ate a whole meal last night. She is now quite aware of the puppy's noises and seems to be looking for her. We have not allowed the pup to nurse since Thursday, as Star's milk was insufficient. Good thing we have this bottle stuff down pretty well now!

I will try to get Glenn to take some pics of her while I'm feeding her... it's is sooooo cute! I can hardly wait for her eyes to open so she will look more like a puppy than a little black rodent, LOL! I think when that happens, I will feel a lot better.

That's so wonderful Marcia. And it's great that you have such a supportive vet. (I've visited mine too on a couple of holidays and weekends.) Is he the same vet you have for your geckos?

Olivia, no... my reptile vet only treats exotics and I have a great dog & cat vet here locally. He had been the vet for my 17 year-old schnauzer for many years, but coincidentally keeps leopard geckos! LOL! I am indeed very fortunate to have just about the BEST veterinary care possible for all of my critters. It's also nice to be so close to UC Davis Veterinary School & Hospital within an hour's drive.
