In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello to everyone.
I am looking for individuals/companies that are selling hots and or venomoids from the elapid family. I am very new to this (hots) and I have noticed that people are very against venomoid animals. I have 9 snakes with a dedicated reptile room in my house, but no hots. I am very interested in a Cobra, I just don't want a hot one. I would prefer a Cobra with a documented surgery............
Am I wrong to think this way? Please be gentle, I have not done anything at this point and don't know that I will.

There is a venomous discussion forum here on Fauna, please come over there and read some posts. I think for many reasons venomoids are not a good choice. You will see the ideas posted, but briefly, for me, any surgery is not 100% and it is not worth dying for; plus it is many times painful and sometimes fatal for the snake to have to endure this operation.
Please come discuss your feelings in the forum.

my friend, Please think twice about buying a venomoid. There are many reasons why you should not buy voids.

Take the time and effort to learn about the hot and buy a hot.

Also you must check your local laws still a venomoid is still considered a hot.......

Also there have been accounts of this surgery not being done right and the animal still being hot. I know of cases like this.

I will be back man. I am so tired . I had to work a third tonight. But I will talk to you and not put you down. Eductaion is key to everything. Fighting is the key to get nowhere...............

i can understand why you would want a venomoid, especially if you are new to keeping hots, BUT, butchering such a beautiful and majestic animal is unethical in every way..after removing the venom ducts the snake looks very deformed in it's face..just sad to look at, if your new to hots, i would suggest rear fanged hots, but befor i did anythging with hots i'd do a TON of research, and practice with Tongs and snake hooks as you will definatly need them when keeping any kind of hot.

Knowledge

Knowledge is the key. Keep doing your research and make an informed decision. We all have our opinions, notice what the consensus is!
I'm in San Antonio and can let you see my set-ups, facility, refrences, and emergency procedures any time.
Please, continue to ask someone (who should know) and research their answers. We ALL have a responsibility to the community, the animals, and ourselves to do the right thing.
Good luck and God Bless
Joshua

Same goes for me...

I live in the Austin, TX area and am availalble for questions and phone calls. Upfront I will tell you that I am against venomoid butchery. These are beautiful animals that should stay that way. Look into it yourself and draw your own conclusions. Some species of cobras are definitlely easier to deal with than others.
