    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I went to Lodi, CA yesterday to pick up a shipment from RodentPro. I got to the Greyhound Express terminal only to find out that it closed 9 months ago and now they only run the buses through there. Package was supposed to be there at 7:10 a.m. I got there around 12:30 and it wasn't there yet. Which was about the same time I was informed that they no longer have a package area. A guy there got on the horn for me and called around and found the package. It had been delayed coming over interstate 80 and was on it's way from Sacramento.

So, I was 2 miles away from the Great Valley Serpentarium...and the package wasn't due to arrive for another hour....hey, great, little trip.

I came to an intersection where there were no cars in front of me. The light had been green for awhile before I ever got there. I wasn't turning, just going straight through. I started to enter the intersection (light still green) and this big pickup comes flying through the intersection from the cross-street!!! I locked up the brakes and came to a squealing halt.

Luckily I avoided a wreck. But I was just dumbfounded that this guy had blown through a red light like that!!!! :uzi:

Had I been 10 feet further into the intersection, he would have T-boned me on the passenger side...where my almost 4-year-old daughter was in her car seat in the rear of the car....

I just keep thinking about what could have happened, I still feel sick to my stomach about it.
 
Sheesh.... Probably someone with a cell phone stuck to his head and just not paying attention. They should make a special penalty for DWB (driving while blabbing) when people are all over the road and generally making a navigational hazard out of themselves ....
 
If CA doesn't have a cell phone law yet, it needs one. When we lived in the Bay Area and I would come across one of those blabbers that wasn't paying attention. Id give them a special treat. Id get just in front of them on the drivers side preferable, but not required. Down shift to a gear that I could maintain the speed limit and keep my RPMs up between 4-6k and "Blast" them with exhaust noise! Headers, no Cats and Borla Stingers make for a NASCAR sound (one that has had me pulled over numerous times for just being way to loud).... It almost sounds like straight pipe exhaust. Its my way to get into "their cell phone conversation" :hehe:

The worst thing I think I've EVER seen when it comes to "DWB".....I almost hit a guy who was talking on his cell phone ON HIS MOTORCYCLE, and evidently didn't want to drop his phone to put in the clutch, so he rolled through a stop sign....

Here's your sign, dude.
