In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have too many numbers and such swirling in my head. I bought my first Ball Python a little over a week ago. Today I decided he was settled in enough to eat. I am extremely lucky. The Pet Store dude said he only fed them live mice, but still I bought f/t's. Within 15 minutes the thawed victim disappeared from in front of my ball python's hide box. He is about 2 feet long, definitely not a little little guy as he was the biggest in the tank. The mice are only 3 or 4 inches long, but I'm not sure how many I should give him. Should I give him two or no? I also am confused as to how often to feed him. Every 7-10 days I've heard for younger BP's but will that give him enough time to digest the other one? I've also seen 3 or 4 days, or 2 weeks...*gets dizzy and falls over*

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey,
You should only feed your ball every 7-10 days. And instead of feeding it smaller mice if you can feed it mice like 5-6 inches.not too big.I hope this helps even a little bit.it should though

The amount of food is dependent on the snake. It should make a nice lump in the snakes belly. To much and it could regurge. You might think of using rats after your mice are gone.

I would suggest to switch to pup or weanling rats and at that age feed them every 5-7 days. eventually you can move to 7-10 days but for now the big thing will be to get them on rats, an adult bp will go through alot of mice and if you wait to long then it will can challenging to switch them over if they have become inprinted on one pray item. Good luck.
