    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How often do you feed your adult hogs?

I feed my females 3 times a week and they eat more amounts of smaller meals. Better to feed them smaller meals in large quantities than one large food item. I do the same with my female Southern and Eastern Hogs as well.

Feeding Hogs

I've only been keeping hognose snakes a few years but I have found they prefer to be kept warmer than the rest of my colubrids (75-95). Their metabolism is higher and therefore they assimilate food faster. I feed my adult hogs a medium size mouse every 5-7 days but double it for females that are gravid or early in the breeding season. Good luck and hope this helps. Stu

I've kept all my snakes in my garage. I live in Florida and temps reach as high as 90 all the way into the low 40's. It it essential for a lot of my snakes to be at those temps. And it saves you money instead of buying all those annoying heating supplies. Hognose of all kinds do great in a range from 75-95 as the person said above.

Thanks guys for info/help :) I do keep my western hog trio a little warmer than the temps I have kept corns at. My male is an adult but the two females are still really small babies so I wasn't sure how much food they would require as adults
