In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

hello everyone!

i'm curious...
i'd like to know how do the farms count they're superworms and wax worms before selling?

Do they count them manually then place it into they're packaging and ship it to us?

im curious because everytime i order superworms and wax worms from farms, none of them are have the exact count of what i ordered?

why is it like that?

please enlighten me!

They do it by weight, as far as I know. Take the average weight of one superworm, take that times 500, or 100, how ever many you've ordered, and voila. I imagine sometimes there will be a few more, sometimes a few less, but would average out in the end. You can't possibly imagine someone sitting there counting out 2,000 little mealworms for every order, can you? 1492, 1493, 1494......oh heck, where was I??? 1....2...3.....4.......

Don't tell me you actually sat down and counted yours.....? ;)

Cat, you have the right idea just not that simple. They use a greater count of say 100 worms or if they are real statistical will actually count 100, 500, and 1000 then weigh them. Those weights dictate what they ship, if say 1000 on standard is 2 pounds then they put 2.05 pounds in each box dictating that is at least 1000 worms.

PS if they were being strictly technical and legal they would count 1000 to 30 different batchs. Take the average that becomes the target weight for each amount.
