How’s everyone doing?
Guess I should start this thing off by telling a bit about myself. My name is John Smith... yes... that’s my real name. I am a Design Engineer in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I am married and have 2 step-daughters. My hobbies include: motorcycling, herping, videogames, hiking, fishing, hunting, and going to the gym. I have kept many reptiles over the years and am looking to get back into it. My love for reptiles started when I was a little kid. My dad caught me an eastern collared lizard. I was fascinated with reptiles from that point on. I have also kept plenty of arachnids, but reptiles are my #1 passion. Besides the collared lizard, I’ve kept tarantulas, black widows, brown recluses, red-headed centipedes, anoles, gargoyle geckos, crested geckos, a Haitian curly tailed lizard, ball pythons, an australian spotted python, a Pygmy rattler, a cottonmouth, a giant vinegaroon, and a savannah monitor. It’s been a few years since I have had anything (life was crazy for a while), but I am finally back into a position to pick it back up. I would really like to acquire a Mangrove Monitor. Once I complete the fabrication of an appropriately sized enclosure, that is. Which brings me to why I’m here. I am currently doing my research and design work for an enclosure and decided to seek out advice from like-minded people. So, it’s a pleasure to meet all of you and feel free to ask me any questions and offer any suggestions. Can’t wait to see what this site has in store for me!
