I'm a little skeptical of how this will go, but I hope it works out for them.
The Indigo is facing extinction due to habitat loss, and as some have mentioned already, the land needed to sustain strong populations of them is depleting at a rapid rate. It isn't quite like alligators because developers don't take major waterways as much as they take dry land and Indigos are very unlikely to be able to cohabitat in close proximity to eachother whereas with gators you can see whole groups of them wthin 500 square feet. So the future looks pretty bleak for this species but I *hope* anyway, it results in a reasonably positive outcome...
