I'm surprised it hasn't been discussed yet since it looks like SC, NC, and southeast VA are going to get hammered.

If you are on the coast please evac. Before you start thinking about fighting Mother Nature, just remember that she is undefeated.

Fortunately the storm appears to have dropped down in strength considerably. Still going to make a mess, but a mess made by Cat 2 100 mph winds will be a whole lot less than the mess made by Cat 4 150 mpg winds.

With it predicted to stall out and park itself, likely going to be a LOT of rain being dumped on coastal North Carolina, though.

It wasn’t near as bad as predicted, we stayed put. It was pretty bad flooding about an hour from us around my parents house. This picture was about two miles from my parents place, fortunately they were on higher ground.
