Hurricane forecast Texas landfall next weekend?

:ack2:

I guess every state has something but I am so sick and tired of floods and hurricanes here.

I discussed this post with some of my neighbors. We are watching carefully, even if there is no hurricane, a lot of rain can be disastrous even in my current location away from the coast (so I appreciate the heads up).
One heifer, because she hadn't seen it on the mainstream news station at that time, called it fake news.So aggravating.

The forecast modelling is still showing a significant storm event for coastal Texas. I think most everyone would hope it is wrong.

"One heifer..."??

As for the "fake news" quip it's actually pretty unnerving sometimes to see how effective that the fake news laced mainstream media propaganda conditioning has become with much of the populace. "If we don't give you our version of the news, then it does not exist. Trust us."

The forecast seems to have backed off on the prediction of a hurricane hitting Texas, but still seems like it will be at least a rain event involved. I'm not really keen on seeing any hurricanes developing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Well, it does look like this became a rain event for coastal Texas, so I guess their prediction wasn't completely useless.

A little rain here, but a prediction like that is never useless in my opinion. There are places near the coast and on Galveston where boarding up/getting out takes days if it turns out to be a large storm.
