    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

For a short period of time your reptiles will be fine. In nature, I'm sure they get periodically exposed to cold temperatures. As long as your power comes on in the next couple of days you should be fine. At least the flooding happened while it was still relatively warm.

My family lives near Kingston, about an hour north of you. They got slammed with flooding. The Esopus Creek had historic flooding through the Catskills. We lost one volunteer rescuer in Lanesville when a bridge went out under him. My firefighter buddies in Boiceville got stuck on the side of a mountain for several hours because rising waters blocked off the only road out when they were trying to rescue somebody. Many bridges are roads are simply gone. Lots of people are stuck in their homes. It's a mess.

THANK YOU...yeah my power came back on last night everybody is fine... it was a tragedy so many buildings underwater.. cars fell off what turned into cliffs.. bridges, roads collapsed... parks turned into lakes... shoulders of many roads look like the everglades.. kingston def got it worst new paltz had to evacuate the area theyre 40 min from me and very very close to kingston

Live close to VA Beach... I have to say that I feel for all of you north that are not used to this type of weather... a good thing to possibly look into getting would be a generator.. and someone else here locally said he uses a battery back up thing for his snakes and such.... alot of people in the area around here are still without power but I think Hurricane Isabel in 2003 did a lot worse damage here than Irene... Our house only lost power for a combined total of 10 minutes if that... we got pretty lucky... hopefully everyone north recovers..

we where hit good too. i run generator best investment ever. runs off natural gas or propane does my whole home

yeah im def gonna get a generator.. i stacked up on heat packs just incase.. everybody is fine and still eating.. so i cant complain first hurricane for me.. i was a virgin
