    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hybrid chameleons

My only question is....

Why on earth would you WANT to hybridize chams? In my experience, chams react aggressively or indifferently to members of other species. I had a male panther yesterday take a good look at a veiled and immediately puff up defensively. With some of the beautiful chameleon species available, it'd almost be a crime to try as the likely result is that one animal or the other would stress itself beyond help. I have heard of keepers keeping different species together, and I'm not knocking it, but chameleons are such a delicate animal that I would never do such a thing personally. The chameleon market isn't exactly as large as beardies, or geckos, comparatively, and is not necessarily a fast moving one either (just look at the continually relisted ads on KS day after day, especially in panthers) and I can hardly see there ever being a market even if you did successfully cross species. -Eric Lago *MS Reptilian Hobbyists*

its not that i was looking to market em, i just thought it would be interesting to both find out if its possible and to see the offspring. obviously you dont think its worth a try.

Hey,

Don't take any offense, it's just my opinion, but I don't think it's worth a try no, I'm afraid what would happen is it would just stress the different species out, and be more harmful than benefactory. But, they're your animals after all, feel free to do with them as you please! Just because I haven't and wouldn't try doesn't mean that you can't, I just don't see the value without some kind of objective in mind, if you're not trying to cross to make a buck, then why would you cross in the first place? Crossing "just to cross" seems like the irresponsible use of precious (and often expensive) animals to me, but again, that's just my humble opinion! -Eric Lago *MS Reptilian Hobbyists*
