    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Found myself a 10 month old female crested today, she is stunning. Anyhow, she is hyper as hell. When I picked her up she was about to shed, she completely finished sheding by the time I got her home (40 minute drive). She appearantly doesn't stop running around. I watched her RUN three laps around the her tank about mid-way up the glass.

She loves to jump as well, I took the top off of her tank and she ran up and leaped out, took another jump into my son's toybox before she desided to take a breather inside a toy bus...

When I got her from the store (petco) she obviously wasn't used to being handled, she bit me and tried to make an escape LoL.

So I guess the question I have is... will she always be this spastic or will she mellow out as she adjusts to me and her new home?

Our other crested, Logan, has always been mellow and loved to be held from the moment we got him home. This is the first time I have seen a crested this flighty.

Thanks for any opinions/advice you ca give me.

Oh yeah, forgot to add any useful info...
Tank temp kept btwn 78-82, and humidity is varies btwn 60-75

definitely make sure the cage doesn't get over 82...that's on the warm end of things...70-80 is good...up to 82, 83 is ok...more than that can kill them

yeah, I would assume petco didn't handle her...I'd let her settle in and not handle her for a week...maybe try feeding her from a spoon if she's calm enough for that now or in a week...just start out putting your finger beside her...let her get used to it...can try nudging her body from the other side to see if she'll walk on your finger...

just take it slowly and patiently...lol...she does sound like a speedster...I never saw one of mine that fast until last night when I came back in the room and turned on the light and a holdback subadult did a few laps around his cage lol
