    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I built a new rack....

I needed to crunch some space so I finally built myself a rack this weekend. I made it from Ash and it houses 40 quart tubs. It utilizes belly heat via flex-watt. I still have another finish coat to apply and after airing out, will be ready to go.

Cool, youre planning on doing this as a business venture? I was thinking about Hand built caging for my critters. Furniture quality. I cant wait to see what else you come out with! as soon as im able, i might just have to look into this! I really love the look of this kind of well built caging.

Thanks! I do plan to phase into doing this full time. I have some great plans. I'll be using species like Walnut, Cherry and Mahogany.

Rainman Reptile Racks.... coming soon!

That was damned funny, but I have to agree! Excellent work! Interested in knowing what you'll end up charging for a finished unit.
That's still something I am working on. There are a lot of variables such as wood species, heated or unheated, size of unit, number of shelves, etc., etc. I am also looking into different shipping options.

I can tell you that they will be fairly pricey. If someone is looking for a deal then I wont be able to help them, however if they are looking for an "Oh My Gawd" piece....

looks like to much work just for a snake rack
I guess it just depends how you look at it. I have two passions... my herps and building things with wood. There is no work involved with either practice.

Some people like nice things. I'm sorry you don't get it.

Man Very nice, I was just about to build a similar rack. Do you have any plans I could Maybe use?

Thanks for the comp. I actually have very little on paper. They are more like notes than anything. I think about what I want to do for days before a project, then I just build it.

I'll be happy to help you out any way that I can.
