    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

there is a big red abscess growing on the side of his tail and there is something wrong with his male end. i have brought him to 2 different vets in my state and they keep on giving me stuff but it doesn't work. i was wondering if anyone has came across this so i can fix him. Another thing is that he is not eating and him tail is getting skinny.

Your pictures are very blurry, but I am worried about the black spot on his hemipenes. He might actually need an amputation at this point. Did the vets you took him to normally see herps? I don't mean to worry you, but the symptoms you describe sound a lot like what I went through before I lost my last leopard gecko. Your gecko most likely needs injectable antibiotics, to be dewormed, and to be retired from breeding. There's a good possibility he could lose that hemipene(s) depending on how much is affected already. I would go ahead and get a 3rd opinion, and possibly have that area biopsied or cultured.

i dont have a vet around here that specializes in just reptiles. That spot is right on his tail. there is some white stuff that is clumped up. the vet game me antibiotics and they cleaned the infected area. they did that on both visits.

I had the same thing happen with my late male (rest in peace Totosi). He developed a sore on his genitals and he stopped eating. I tried slurries and such, but that didnt work, and I could not afford the $ for a vet. I had rescued him from someone that had him living in a tank full of anoles. He was sick when I got him, and I took good care of him till he got most of his natural color back, but I think in my case with him having been around the anoles that he got some sort of parasite, though he was fine till just about a month or so before he died. Do you clean out the tank regularly? Do you have sand in it? I ask cause some times the genital area will get sand or dropping bits stuck in there and that can cause a sore.

Hard to see your pictures and hard to follow this thread . But I will pray for your Leo that all goes well. I wish I could help more.

Rioko i do clean my tanks on a regular bases and i use heavy duty paper towel in all my tubs. he doesn't eat at all. i tried feeding him by hand and he wont take it. i feel like i did this to him but i always took very good care of him. i had him for 9 years.i brought him to another vet and they don't even know what is wrong with him. i told them im not paying for you diagnoses because you didn't do anything. so i dont know what im going to do now.

you can try an easy force feeding i thought of when one of mine got impacted, try a bit of baby food, i would go with the stage 3 chicken and he probably wont just eat it but if you rub some on his nose most likely he will lick it off because it will bother him, this will probably stress him though and honestly i'm not sure this will even do any long term good, because if he wont eat, he wont eat. This would just be a temporary fix. But it's a possible way to keep some of his weight up until you could find out what is wrong with him.

Have you tried feeding him a slurry? there should be a thread in here, in the forum, some where.
