    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

ok im not new to bearded dragons but im not an expert. its just puzzleing me. i have 2 juvi beardies in a 55 gallon for now and i feed them musturd greens along with crickets. mine wont touch pellets. but what i do is give the crickets dragon pellets to eat. lol so there getting that in some type of way. and dust the food and they seem to have stop growing in the past 2 months. only around 12 inches. what can be the problem? i use 5.0 and a basking bulb, the basicking site is around 100 and the other end is around 85. it seems perfect to me. what am i doing wrong? thank you

Try This

One thing that I have found in keeping beardies is that no one method is tried and true. If one thing doesn't work, try something else.

I attached a link about nutritional information for beardies.

I would certainly try to offer them the most varied diet possible. If you aren't already offering them veggies WITH the greens, try chopping yams, squash, bell peppers, etc. My beardies absolutely love veggies. As for the pellets, have you tried wetting them? If not, just pour some pellets into a bowl and cover them with hot water. In a few minutes, the pellets will be moist. The pellets can be stored covered in the fridge.

Also, you may want to try a higher temp in the basking area of around 110. Another thing to try is mealworms/superworms and waxworms in very limited amounts (like 5 or 6 per week).

You may want to buy a digital scale, which can be found in the kitchen department at Walmart or Target. This is a much more accurate way to judge thier growth than length.

More than likely, they have just reached a plateau in thier growing...but it's always worth a shot. Good Luck!!

thank you for your help, there pigs. its just lol i dont know. hopfully they will grow lol if not oh well, i still love them.

Wetting them is defiantly a good idea. :)

Most of my dragons will usually only eat the pellets if they are wet, or if they're mixed in with the dragon's "salad".

You may want to try putting a small, shallow bowl or something in the cage (or just use the water bowl), and then put some pellets in the water. lol, when the pellets are moving and floating around in the water, it usually does a better job of catching the dragon's attention. :)

I have to trick my young dragons into eating the pellets. I wet the pellets and drop in a few crickets. After they eat them then roll or bounce some pellets, a few at a time across the bottom of their cage. My young ones will then chase them down. (Don't do this if you are using sand as a substrate)
