    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have quite few important questions about my beardies

One of my two beardies, Jake, has recently been having problems with his hips and knees. he has trouble walking and climbing, but doesnt seems to be in pain if i touch or lightly squeeze his hip or knee joints. his knees are very stiff. neither me or my parents have any money due to hardship, so i cant go to a vet, and i cant go and buy new things for his cage or anything.

I feel bad that i cant do those things for him, but is there anything i CAN do? Would it be best to find them a reptile sanctuary, where they can both be healty and happy? If i have to do this i would take both of them, i would feel bad otherwise. i would hate to part with either of my beardies, since ive had jake for 10 years and BD for 9 years, and i love them alot.

The other beardie, BD, is very old, but we do not know her age. We decided to get her a year after we got jake, cuz we wanted to breed. She was shipped via mail in a box half her size with no heat. It was the most cruel thing i had ever seen! She is healthy now, but like i said if i must part with jake i will take them both, because i cant really afford to keep them happy, and this really tears me appart. Please help, any suggestions will help.

Im sorry for your dragon.. MAybe try to take out all the climbing stuff and keep it simple , They are pretty old maybe is is like arthritis in poeple , not sure if beardies get it, I cant imagine age not affecting thier joints. Maybe someone on here has sujestions for Its pain that im not sure of .. Good luck with them..

9 and 10 years old, I would have to say you have done a great job!! Be happy that you have provided so well for them to have shared their lives with you for so long! I would imagine in beardie years that they could possibly have joint problems. I have never experienced this so it is all just a guess based on my experience with other animals. But first I would start with a phone call to a vet, those are free! I would ask them if it were possible to give them some sort of glucosamine supplement that you could purchase over the counter should you feel they are experiencing joint problems. I may even ask my vet tomorrow while I have her on the phone, she is great with holistic medicine. All else fails, make sure they are getting proper supplementation for their age and just make them comfortable. If it is difficult for them to climb, then take out the climbing obstacles so they can get around a little better, or better yet, make less of an incline for them to get to their favorite spots, like a ramp. Sounds like you have done a great job so far, don't be so quick to pass them along because of old age. You've done such a good job during their adult years, now they just need a little comforting during their twilight years.

thank you both, this helps alot. however if anyone else has some more ideas as to what i can do to help them, it would be much appreciated.
