• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I have NO clue where to post this.

I want to warn everyone in the dallas area about a certain reptile vendor/exotic pet store. I had a HORRIBLE experience with them today. Basically they were extremely rude & condescending. Many witnesses agree that it was discrimination against me because I'm a young female & therefore they didn't take me seriously as a business opportunity.

Is there anywhere I can post about this on fauna? I thought about BOI but then I realized the moderators on here might not find that acceptable.

I'd say a BOI thread would be the perfect place for it, really.
 
Yep, definitely BOI worthy. I will warn you though, you must present at least some form of evidence if you post a BOI thread. At the very least, present as much information as possible. This includes names of all parties involved, names of witnesses, and an exact description of the event. You also need to be aware that the person whom you're writing the thread about will most likely be contacted to comment on the thread. If you're willing to go through the effort and possible consequences (BOI threads can get quite heated), then a BOI thread is appropriate. I would be sure that you didn't misinterpret the situation, however, as sexual and age discrimination is quite a serious allegation.
 
Actually the BOI forum is the ONLY forum here where that sort of post is acceptable. Please read the rules for posting on the BOI and understand that the name of the person or business you are referring to MUST be in the topic line of the thread.

Oh and as for you getting banned for something like this, nope. People don't get banned here for mistakes. They get themselves banned when they actively ASK for it with their actions.
