    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Some of you here know me, but I am sure that most of you do not. I am basically a lurker on the BOI, have been for a looong time even. Apparantly someone that utilizes this board took it upon themselves to send an email to someone I am adopting an albino burm from. The owner of the burm contacted me in regards to such and pointed out some things that were said in regards to who I am and what I do with the reptiles I work with by this person.
First off I need to clarify exactly who I am. YES My name is LORI... NO I am NOT the same person who seems to be referenced in another post here[ really looong one posted by Mr. Lawson] by one of the names they go by of LORI  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'> She obviously seems to have a NOT so honest life style going on within the reptiles world, as well as some inscrupulous disregard for reptilian life. The person who sent the email stated that I "grab" rescues /adoptions from people and then "sell" them to someone who then kills the snakes and uses their "skin" for boots. To say the least I was speechless when I read such in my email from the snake/burm's present owner.
NOT only do i do reptile rescue/adoption BUT I also do rehab that's needed and transport of rescues on the east coast. I keep my own personal collection which consists of over 50 reptiles at the present time. NONE of which are so much as contemplated as being nor are they ever taken care of improperly, let alone sold off to such a low life form as this other LORI appears to be.  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry:'> [ Ritchie..IF I ever found out that you skinned Princess to make yourself a pair of boots..I WILL be at your door ! lol I know ya better than that Ritchie hehe  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> ] I would NEVER do such a thing knowingly with any reptile placed in my care. This particular snake/burm was coming into me as part of my personal collection. YES it's a rescue..NO it's NOT being placed up for adoption even..let alone being sold on my part out of my collection [ AND that is if I manage to straighten out what this person has caused by sending the email without having their facts straight even and still get the burm/snake <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry:'> ] OH and thanx a lot too for having compromised such from possibly happening ! This burm/snake I wanted for my personal collection in order to have her specific specie to utilize in my reptile educational showings which I do.  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>

Nice touch using a return email addy that was false also for your email.
I have one suggestion for you...Next time you state "your facts" in regards to someone...MAKE SURE YA GOT YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT FIRST AND YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE RIGHT PERSON !

I just want to say, I have spoken to Lori Kehoe online
and in personal email and she is not the "Lori" this person
thinks... Lori Kehoe is a wonderful lady who does some
great work in reptile rescue.. I've seen pics of animals she's
taken in and worked with... animals that most shelters, etc
would probably have just put down.. she is very commited to
her animals and takes SUPURB care of them.. From what I
know of Lori, she would be APPAULED at the thought of
selling a rescue for skin-trade use.  She doesn't even offer
adoptions up until they are in good shape and totally
rehabbed!  She also does not charge fees and in fact has
done trips several times over several states to help drop
off/place and pick up resuces... a very stand-up lady.
I hope you can clear up this missunderstanding Lori..
feel free to have this person contact me if you need another
reference... good luck.
 
The biggest Travisty out there is that a truly good person like Lori Kehoe is forced to come on this site and defend herself.

I'm not going to get all longwinded about this like I usually do because this is silly.  Lori is one of the nicest, most caring people I know when it comes to her reptiles.  I know for a fact that it sickens her to think about someone killing snakes for their skin.  She certainly is not selling her animals to anyone who would do such.

Any more question about this issue can be taken up with me personally as I truly think of this as Libel and Slander.

This is a misunderstanding with two persons with the same first name.  Lori Kehoe is an administrator of a very informative forum that I am lucky to be a member of.  Her love for snakes is immeasurable.  She jumps on the chance to take care of an available snake.  She will drive miles and miles just to make that sacrifice.  Its all there in black and white.  Her love for snakes even reflects on her member name...Lori SnakesRule.  Just go to www.redtailboa.net and read her posts.  Her world revolves around snakes.  To say otherwise is ridiculous.  It's a shame that people should say false things about the wrong person without doing some logical research first.

i talk to lori kehoe on a regular basis and she is in my book a REALLY great person  and she might actaully be takin a sidetrip to pick up my dumerils to bring it to another rtb.net/org member which owns multiple ammounts of boids

Do you know who this person is?  Was it an accident?  a simple mistake?  or was there malice involved?

Because even though there is a bad Lori out there.  I don't know of ANY Lori's who sell reptiles to make snake skin boots or whatever.  Who is this person that was spreading rumors?

Okay I just saw where the Burm was being offered.

You say your name was confused with another Lori.

The other Lori does not sell Reptiles for snake boots. (at least I did not see that post)

the burm was offered on mice on ice.   The lady with the burm got an e-mail saying you sell snakes for reptile boots.  The e-mail came with a fake return e-mail.

Who is mad at you?  Whose name is posted as a trouble adopter on mice on ice?
Who wants to get back at you?

If this person really believed that you are a moderator of an adoptions forum...and that you were bad....Don't you think this person would have told the owner of the site already.

Come on Lori.  You know who did this...I know who did this.  it does not take a genious to figure it out.  

WHO MIGHT BE TRYING TO GET REVENGE ON YOU?  that is the same person who sent that e-mail off.

You and I know who it is.  It is the same person who got a burm almost the same time I did.  I also told you the burm this person was getting should stay with me.  Specially after the comment you made that you thought this person could not handle such a large animal

Ritchie I sent you an email in response to yours. I had actually thought about that person being the one who had sent out the email to the owner of the burm/snake while at a friends home today working on 2 rehabs that I have that are ...umm were now  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> ...in bad shape. This person is the only person I know of that would have such a vendetta against me and do such a thing. A fraudulent, dishonest, corrupt or however type of person you'd want to note them as being ; who has had the FACTS of a reptile adoption being placed with them in such a manner in a public forum by myself and others involved in that adoption...Would most likely do such a thing as having sent the email out to the snake's owner with false statements in it. The only reason that her name is not publicly posted on here yet is because I have no evidence YET.

I hope that lady forwards me a copy of the fake e-mail she got.  I could easily compare it to the e-mails this person has sent me and finally be able to publicly post a LIARS name

I know you are feeling a little 'emotional' about , this
sub-class, but gotta play by staying straight and not sinking to 'it's' level.
Too bad some of the other posts on the other forum were expunged, like 'it's' were.....
But the tuth will come out here and will be up for the herping world to see!
Bet 'it' didn't expect to have recourse in this matter, a re-course that will do more damage to 'it's' self than could ever be done to you!

And for what reason, hmmm...Immaturity comes to mind, being a little 'it ' with pathological schytzophreniatic tendencies mixed with a slight napoleanic complex and passive/aggressive tendencies make for a really good combination of personality disorder traits for one such as 'it' to posess in the herping world.

Hello everyone! I can back up Lori 200%!!! Not only do I know she doesn't sell reptiles for being made into boots, but I know her personally!! You see, I work in reptile rescue myself, and Lori has been here to my house on a few occasions. And it's not like she lives 15 minutes away either. She is in Mass, and I am in NJ. She has stopped here in transit of her trips up and down the east coast for the sole purpose of transporting rescued reptiles to their new homes, and for picking up new rescues. She has adopted a few reptiles from me, as I have one of hers here. She has helped me in more ways than one, and if anyone needs to discuss this more PLEASE e-mail me. Lori, I know who you are talking about that you think sent this e-mail (duh!...lol) and as much as I would love to think this is her, it could be someone who made a simple mistake of confusing you with this other Lori scum. The only thing that leads me to beleive it could be her is the fake e-mail. YES, she is a BOI user, trying to trade her misrepresented reptiles again! (leaving out the fact they are rescued reptiles) Hehe, I posted to that one, with links to where she is referenced to on Mice-On-Ice. The gist of the what I'm trying to say here, is that if Lori was going to sell reptiles, she's the worst salesperson I have ever met as I have SEEN her spend plenty of her own money on these reptiles. The amount she has spent waaaaay outweighs the amount they could ever be sold for. Hope everything works out with the burm, Lori. If this person is who we think she is, just give her time. I hope it's not too late for me to post a reply (now that I finally figured out how) :)
Anyway, Lori is a kind, sweet, gentle, caring, loving, tolerant and giving individual. I can't even imagine someone half the person Lori is as being capable  doing something as unthinkable as selling a reptile (any animal even ) for profit, much less skins for human apparel. That is absurd! Lori has been more than willing to share her hard-earned knowledge to anyone willing to learn, not just for the animal's sake, but also for the individual owning the reptile. It really upsets me that an innocent person, trying to do her part (actually, more than her part) being libeled in this manner. Whomever did this isn't just hurting Lori, but all the animals she is trying to help, and all of the honest people in this hobby as well!
Lori, I know everything will work out. The good always prevail.

I just don't understand what type of person  would enjoy slandering a person as good as Lori.  Who ever you are I hope you enjoy screwing with people as nice as her, and I hope that one day you get what is coming to you.
