    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i need some info!! and this thread will hopefully help new comers

I will try to answer a few of those.

Depends mostly on the amount you feed your snake and its genetics. Mine feeding once every seven days an apporiate sized food item. Hatchlings doubled in size first year both length and girth. My older corns 3-5 yrs old grew only a few inches and bulked up a little more, but not a considarble amount. Genetics will all so play a big role in that. I have corns that are short and fat and i have some that are long and skinny both the same age. Being a hybrid will effect that as well.

Maybe someone with some good complete records over a longer period than mine can give examples of their snakes Weight's and Lengths over a given time.

Refer to answer about growing. Your snake sheds primarly when it is growing larger, or when it is trying to heal it scales or skin. From mites, damged scales, or bad sheds. My hatchlings during their first few months shed just about ever 30 days for their first 5 months and then began to taper off to every 3 or 4 months. My older corns may only shed once every six months.

Temp should be low to mid 70's cool side to mid 80's on the hot. With hides placed in areas where snake can be in hide but still choose the right temp.

Feeding Most feed once every 5 to 7 days one appropriate sized food item. You may feed two if you are at the stage of stepping up to the next biggest sized food item.

Cleaning Spot clean at every feeding or once a week. I clean whole set up once a month. I use a 10% bleach soulation on tanks, hides, and water bowls allowed to dry and air out before replacing snake in Viv. I clean the water bowls once a week or if they get low before my next scheduled feed.

Handling You should allow a new snake 3 days to a week to adjust to new setup before handling. You shouldn't handle for at least 36 hours after feeding except when you place snake back in tank after feeding. Handling should first be done in short attempts over the tank building up to longer tolerances from your snake over time. If your scared to pick you new snake up at first, don't worry most of us where when we first got one are self's. You can wear long sleeve shirt and a pair of thin gloves so you can still feel the snake, but it will offer you a little confidence. Go for it don't hesitate.

Well hopefully this helps some. Hopefully one of the others will post as well and correct any of my mistakes and fill in any gaps.

thanks that helps alot!!

and if any one wants to add anything that will be great.
