    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ive always tried to convince myself this girl is nuthin but a normal. But after seeing her, her offsping from 09 and this years clutch from her I have to get some opinions. Let me just save the description for later and post the important part now... pics.

Now she is a dark girl, with a nice stripe, a broken up pattern, crazy blushing almost like she wants to be a mojo or a cinny. Shes been bred to a pastel and a mojo with no results from them. But the breeding wasnt by me and I didnt really see the hatchlings. I still have a pair from 09, and this years clutch I can see all to well. Pics in next post.

Anyways, these markings were originally attributed to the sire who is my dinker banded/reduced. But in the next post u will see why I put it on mom.

Ok so heres the 2012 clutch, Ive done enough explaining so ill just skip the crap and get to the pics. :D the very last one I cant wait to see out of the egg. Its sooooooo dark

So to wrap it up Im eaither dealing with a codom/dom gene with my big girl being a dom form because all babies share the same, or I have a normal with really strong traits on its babies, the only reason I brought it to you guys is because I saw these traits passed on in 2 different clutches. I may go ahead an get som side by side pics of the other clutch I just hatched, but im too tired now and I need a shower. So enjoy while im gone.
 
If its co-dom you got some crazy odds. I would say some more time and breeding is needed to see if it truly is something. but if I had to guess its a strong posibility you may have some type of subtle gene going on there. I would put to another co-dom and see what happens or breed back a son and see if there is a super or if its simple recessive. good luck
 
Thats the plan, mamas prolly gets next year off and her 09 boy is starting another growth spurt so I hope by the 2014 breeding season he will have decent size on him to keep up with her. Unless this last one in the egg looks ridiculous. Btw theres a couple Vanillas in the 2012 clutch. So we'll see whats in store then.
 
There looks to be some consistency there. Mom is just so dark though for some reason. I would hold back all you can keep to line breed and see what happens. If you pick a codom I would lean to yb or fire since mojave has been done. Good luck to you.
 
I was thinking about getting an ivory, but my odds werent that good this year. Plus I think im gonna breed the 09 male back to her and shoot for a super. We'll see in a year or two.
 
Offspring showing a similar phenotype doesn't necessarily mean anything anything special is going on...it's natural. That's what dinkers are for, though - part of the fun is recognizing something a little different, and trying to see if you can unlock some hidden potential.

When that last one comes out, don't forget to update this thread with pics.

Im really thinking it is just phenotype traits being passed on, but you know that lil nag Harald, the one in the back of your head that just says, "It could be something, look at the ghi it proved out," so im just trying to satisfy that lil voice in my head.

... now if I can only satisfy the others... :rofl:

Was the bold statement sarcasm? Or did you just happen to post right when I updated it? Just curious, cuz sarcasm is expected from you, :D but to have you post on this thread right when I update it would be pretty ironic. Either way thanks, and we'll see what happens with this in a couple years.

Me too! It makes the rest of the pattern stand out. One of the Vanillas has it as well so shes for sure a hold back. Im really looking forward to the 2013-14 season.
