It starts like this:
I posted a bunch of mole kings for sale a couple weeks ago on the kingsnake classified.
A guy by the name of brett skinner e-mails me with a few questions?All his questions are answered and he wants to see a pic of a yearling pender county mole king I was selling.
I send him the pic and he says great I will take it and he promptly pay-pals me.
Well,To make a long story short,I send the snake to him on oct 31st(thursday) and sent him the tracking # that night.He gets her on friday november 1st.
I get home and my wife tells me that somebody has called all pissed off saying I didn't send the snake in the pic and I sent a baby when he bought a yearling????????????I am like what??????????So I get on line (way to late to call him back),And there are slandering posts all over kingsnake.com forums?
This all before he even talks to me?I go to my e-mail and I have four emails from him.One says I sent the wrong snake and he is going to sue me?
The second says he has contacted visa yada yada yada.And that my ad said adults?I had adults in front of some and a (01) in front of the one he bought ,the only pender I had
the third says I sent a hatchling?(it is a yearling)and it doesn't match the pic?Again I am like what??????
The fourth says that I (me)am out 30.00 for shipping and I (me) also lost my baby snake?And that the snake is way to small to eat a pink(its been eating great for a year)



I don't know what this guy expected,moles hatch out at about 6 inches long and this girl was over 12.She will take a pink right out of your hand.
Anyways,It IS the snake in the pic I sent(I have the pic I sent to him) and if he wants he can take a pic of her and post it right along with the pic I sent him.

It just buggs me that I can't defend myself on the kingsnake forums cause thats breaking there rules.

This sounds like someone to avoid. You should post his name etc, and email him and alert him to this thread and let him respond. If that is what happened, it sounds like he went overboard to try to hurt you.

Report it to the abuse coordinator immediately.  I will too (if it isnt already deleted).  That is against the TOS of kingsnake and the person will get banned immediately (their new "no second chance" policy).
I'm sorry you've had to deal with this jerk.  Talk about flying off the handle!
To anyone who has any doubts, Shannon has top quality snakes and is a good person (I got to meet the family at the Wasatch show this year)--great ethics, clean set up, gorgeous animals, and a great attitude.  But I think most of us already know that--his reputation speaks for himself.

I would like to second that, Dana. Shannon is top notch. About 2 1/2 years back, I bought a sweet little Western Hognose from Shannon at the show here. I still have her and she is doing excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from him again.

I would really like to see this Brett Skinner come here to give his side.  
He sounds like someone who had immediate buyer's remorse.  I have seen tons of mole kings, babies and adults.  If he thinks 12 inches is a hatchling, he is an idiot.  And he is admitting that he will refuse to feed the animal?!  This person is a complete and total MORON.  Did you notice that he is asking for his money back/refunds/blah blah, but keeps talking about killing the snake?!?!?!?!  What kind of stupid jacka$$ gets a snake and refuses to offer it food?!  Would you please post ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you have on this person(address, e-mail addresses, etc.)  so we can be 100% sure to never deal with this person?  
Has he offered to send pictures of the snake in question?  I bet not because I am willing to bet that IF he were to send a snake back, it would be a HATCHLING half-dead/dead mole king, NOT the yearling you sent him.  And quite honestly I don't believe that the FBI would be willingot do much for this nutmonkey based on the fact that you haven't even been given a full 24 hours to contact him back or rectify the situation.  And he is in TOTAL violation of Kingsnake.com's TOS if he is posting slanderous messages about you and hopefully will be banned outright according to their new policies.

This guy sounds like the customer from HELL !!!  He may not even know how big a yearling is supposed to be.  The fact that he went out of his way to try and make you look bad before even contacting you says it all.  His comment " You killed your snake "  makes no sense at all.  Is this person a kid ?  Every dealer/breeder on this site needs to take note of all this guys info, just so none of us ever does business with this turkey.  He does deserve to post his side of this story but he had no right to treat you in this manner and take actions the way he did.  You can't please everyone all the time and that is unavoidable but he handled himself all wrong on this.  Maybe he is just looking for a free snake and that was his intention from the very start ?  I hope this all works out for you and you don't lose any $$$ on this deal but I don't think anyone who comes on this board will think anything bad about you.  It's sad you can't defend yourself on KINGSNAKE.COM  but that is one of the reasons I stay out of their forum area.  Good luck .

Let's look at a few things realistically.
First, the FBI and the FTC both have far better things to do and are not going to be concerned in the least with the length of his $75 snake. The idea that they would drop everything to investigate such a trivial incident, even if it were legitimate, is laughable.

Second, unless he outright lies to the credit card company and says he received nothing, they won't take any action either. He purchased and received the goods, in this case the snake. That is the extent of the credit card companys involvement. They are not concerned with the quality of goods, or buyers remorse, or the fact that the buyer was incapable of reading an add written in what is presumably his native tongue.

Without repeating the comments of others, I will say only that his actions were absurd and beyond anything remotely resembling reasonable.
It is my belief that unless he is completely ignorant of the workings of the real world, that he has reported you to no one and has instead attempted only to discredit you anonymously on the kingsnake forums, for which his only reward will likely be the complete loss of his posting privileges on that site.

For Shannon,
We now have both his name and email address, but I as well as many others, would also like to have his physical address so we do not inadvertantly do buisness with this individual in the future.
Email addys change, and there may well be another Brett Skinner out there who keeps herps, but the actual address will be the best connection that can be made.
