In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I think this has gone on long enough...but how long has it been?

I didn't say....I figured if something interesting was in there, we could have some fun guessing.
All I've seen so far are two heads; and I didn't remove the container from the incubator yesterday, it even pull the incubator out from under my desk. I just looked between the water droplets with a flashlight.

harald the guessing and wishing game is always fun to play.especially when there is more than one dad.can we atleast get recessive or co-dom?

April got a little preview a few days ago

That one, which appears to be a girl, has a little ringer sorta thing goin' on (it's more visible from the other side, but she wouldn't pose with it exposed).

Here's the peek I had at the two together (the one above now on the left)

Both look like black pewters, to me...

However, once the one on the right came out, I was presented with a slightly different picture...which was more obvious in natural light than in my dimly lit office. (I had a nice solo shot of this one, but her face was blurred. Post hatch photo session was quite brief, I'll take more after they've shed/fed.)

You're welcome to claim the one in the first picture, at any time, April...but if you wait until the other clutch hatches in about a month, I might offer some other options. I wouldn't send her before then anyway, lol.

Thanks, but the one is confusing me a little. Initially, when they were pipping, both looked like black pewters to me. When fully hatched, the smaller one looked a little lighter - which was magnified when I took them outside for the pics...to the point of me considering that it might be a streak. I'm not really buying that idea, though...at least not yet; and I'm leaning toward calling it a light colored pewter until it sheds. (She looks like a girl, too, btw).
Now that I think about it, the sire was a pretty hot looking guy right out of the egg - I'll have to try to find a pic.

Here are a few other pics - indirect natural light, overcast conditions, with a pic of both for comparison (the difference is much less pronounced in this lighting, bringing me more strongly toward calling her a pewter)
Oh, and the ringer type white patch is visible in this shot of the other one

they definitly a good looking pair of babies,im not real familiar with the pewter colors, but they do look like b.pewters in my eyes, but i would get a lot more opinions.now you mention dad was pretty good looking when he hatched, maybe this one took on his genes.either way they are smokin.i also like the head pattern on the high blushed one.

Here's the hatching shot of the sire - too bad he didn't keep that look...

yeah he did come out really high contrast, almost the trueghost color, time will tell after a few more shed what they will truely look like.

April, assuming both are females, you may have your pick of the two (or wait on the next clutch, lol)

So April told you that for the time being, everything meant for her is supposed to be mailed to my address, right? :D

Seriously, though, holy crap, those are GORGEOUS! I love black pewters, not bad results at all for a clutch you'd totally given up on!

I'm going to wait until after they shed to be sure...but I might steer April toward the smaller one. The other one is nice, and it has the ringer (which kind of blends into the blushing on the side that doesn't have the white flare); but the little one is going to be hotness.
