    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Ian Curtis - Stolen African House Snakes

Yeah, the only reps for the KHS at the show yesterday were nice people who I have never had a problem with. Its unusual and ironic that neither the President nor the Vice President was interested in spending time promoting the club at one of the biggest venues for doing so.

Since they have not showed much interest in helping this case, I doubt they would do anything like what you're thinking.

Even though doing so would probably clear their name in the eyes of the community...

I was thinking the other way, as in Chris and Ian also being money thieves...
 
Chris is the new president. he just took over.

The only thing in my thinking that the KHS is involved with is not making Ian step down. I don't think other alleged things going on should be involved here.

Oops that's what I get for assuming other people's thoughts.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but it is fishy how they really are unwilling to rectify this issue.

It's most likely less of a money thief scenario than a lack of backbone scenario.

They both seem untrustworthy...I know if I was a member, I wouldn't be donating any money to the group...

Agreed. The KS doesn't seem to care that one of their officers is involved in this issue.

Accusing someone of stealing club funds with no evidence to support the claim is a slippery slope.

I am not accusing them of anything...They just seem to be the type that shouldn't be trusted when eyes are not around..
 
Everything Ian is doing feels like a stall tactic. The cynic in me feels he's trying to pump out some babies before being forced to settle up with Sarah. The Kentucky Herpetological Society is harboring a liar and a thief by my reading. Is it worth tarnishing the good name of an entire society?
 
The KHS doesn't care what everyone thinks of them. The president evidently thinks that Ian didn't do anything wrong, and may not even change his mind after things are settled in court.

Hopefully Sarah can win her case and get her animals back.
 
I'm not so sure. Apparently Ian wasn't at their last meeting (how often does the KHS meet?), and he wasn't at their booth.

That may be him stalling and waiting for this to blow over, but it's just as likely (to me) that these absences were coordinated with KHS.
 
why did everyone associated with KHS, and ian disappear? I would think if they had nothing to hide they would at a minimum, defend themselves......

Members don't care, don't want to get involved, or argue a moot point. I truly believe that the group sees this as an issue between Sarah and Ian. The group obviously doesn't care what Ian does outside of the club, yet Ian tries to drag everyone into the mess that he created.
 
They meet once a month.....there were only 13 people at the most recent meeting. With the way things have declined for them I wouldn't be surprised if they were disbanded by the end of 2014.
