I do not often post on this forum.  I do like the forum and respect what it is for, but I still do not post here frequently.  The reason for that is because there is always someone that feels the need to take anything said by anybody and skew it.  I have never said that i think Bill should be completely absolved from blame.  That is not what I feel should happen.  I feel that Bill should not allow any animals in or out of his collection until he is sure that he is in no danger of spreading IBD.  Since Bill has yet to show up and post his side of this issue, I have to work under the assumption that he will never see these words, so what point would it serve for me to give my oppinion about him?

I was not chiding Chris.  I feel for the man.  He is going through something that I hope I never have to go through.  Now that he has posted e-mails that seem to prove that Bill thought/led him to believe that he was selling a healthy snake.  This does nothing to lessen what I said to Chris.  Chris now has the Virus.  It is a very bad Virus.  My advise to Chris was not to let that virus out of his collection and to help stop the spread of it.  Did I place any blame anywhere by saying that?

I feel bad for Chris and for Bill.  Chris you really should have kept the snakes seperate whether you thought they were healthy or not it is just good housekeeping.  Everyone makes mistakes, if you are an expert or a novice mistakes are unfortunately how we learn best.  This instance requires responsibility from both parties though.  And I think it is unfair for anyone to say " Just get over it ".  How would you feel if you might have to put down your entire collection ?  And I am not just saying that for Chris.  Imagine what is going thru Bill's mind whether he is admitting it or not, especilly with all his animals !  I also disagree with the theory that the little guy is always wrong.  Chris made a classic husbandry mistake and it could cost him his entire collection, but in my opinion he is not an expert herper and when this all came down Bill should have stepped up to the plate with any help he could have given Chris and advised him what to do.  I make mistakes and I am sure I will make more mistakes in my life but when I am wrong I will admit it and I will try not to do the same thing again, at least not intentionally.  This whole affair is very unfortunate and requires both individuals do the right thing for the sake of everyone involved in herps. Now is not the time to point fingers but the time for the involved parties to take these matters into their own hands and do the right thing, even if that means doing what I am sure would break both of their hearts and wallets.

I am posting the report of Matts Boa that was purchased from ( DALE PECOLA ) of San Diego Vivarium. I personally delivered the snake to Bruce Bogoslavsky, the company's personal  Vet for necropsy. With IBD having a gestation period of 28 days, you can see that the snake had been exposed at a minimum of 18 days before Matt received the snake. I am not here to bash but just to clarify the fact that the source was not Matt nor Bill . This could happen to anyone who buys and sells Boas. But the disturbing thing is the denial and shifting of blame instead of the concern of the species,  customers,  and collections that may have received exposed animals. If you are not concerned with the animals or the hobby why be involved, there are plenty of ways to make a dollar.

MY LAWYER AND MYSELF HAVE BOTH SPOKEN TO MR. ROWAN, AND HE HAS GIVEN US QUITE A BIT MORE EVIDENCE. DALE SOLD ONE OF HIS BOAS THROUGH CHRIS' PET STORE, USING CHRIS' CREDIT CARD MACHINE, TO RECEIVE PAYMENT. DALE SOLD A BOA TO LINDA CAMERON FOR $1200 AND IT DIED TWO DAYS LATER. SHE HAS NOW REFUSED PAYMENT ON THE CREDIT CARD, AND CHRISTOPHER ROWAN IS NOW STUCK WITH THE BILL. DALE ALSO OWES MR. ROWAN $1000 AND HAS FAILED TO PAY THIS AS WELL. YOU ASKED FOR ME TO SPEAK DALE AND NOW I HAVE.

awwww blame it on someone else Dale.....this is only my opinion but sounds to me like your selling off an IBD infested collection, sounds to me like the epidemic has started in your collection, sounds to me like when this is all through alot of people will have you and your denial to thank for their dead animals, but thats just my opinion, theres alot more to this story dale and you need to spill it

Dale if you are going to reply I got two questions for you please answer them and dont try to skate around them, ok, here they are

1st, I asked you earlier today in one of these 1356 threads(of course I cant seem to find this one right now), why it is so important to you that Bill did not contact you when according to your three mile long post you were already well aware of the situation??? according to your post you were made aware of the situation prior to the animal dying by Chris TenNames, so when you were getting first hand info from Chris why are you making such a fuss that Bill never called and offered second hand info??

2nd, so which is it all three died or one was not doing well??is there a reason why you contridict yourself like this or are you tripping over your own lies??
and since you came back please dont run off, if ya do then we all will know who is guilty here, so if ya could please answer the questions and dont try to avoid them, thanks

The tails do indeed look the same though.

I would say that is the same snake.  He has a distinctive tail pattern that is easily identifiable in both pics..

I certainly can't say what happened, or who is to blame, but it appears obvious to me that those are two photos of the same animal.
