    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi All,

I don't use this forum as much as that other one, but I'm starting to realize I'm not in the "club" where your posts or questions get viewed or replied to. I guess it's because I don't post pics of "neon yellow sunglow super motley" boas. I've been keeping snakes since I was around 12, so it's over 20 years now but just realyy started to get into boas and breeding boas in the last 5 years or so. I do love the locals and the reasons for keeping them pure, but I also like some of the morphs too, so I guess I'm a bit different then some. I have 17 boas at home and 2 in Las Vegas waiting for the weather to cool off so they can be shipped. I have mostly common Colombians, but also a Cay Caulker, Argie, 3 Dumerils, an F1 hypo, a pastel het anery, a het albino male and 2 possible het females coming soon, a Hogg and one BCI that I'm not sure of a local on. I'm posting because I'm hoping someone can help with an ID on this boa. I got her as a rescue from the Humane Society here. She was in good shape when I got her and eats well, although she refuses frozen thawed. She isn't much over 2.5-3' and is extremely aggressive. Her coloration is darker overall than a Colombian and has a rust color to her tail. I've also noticed her head seems to be shorter and broader than Colombians the same size. I had a hard time geting these pics, she didn't want to go in the sweater box to go outside.

If anyone has any ideas on local, they would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking Central American, and the one reply I did get was possibly Nicaraguan. Not trying to make her into anything she isn't would just like some ideas and opinions. The only pics I have are too large, so here is a link to a pic of her: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v365/cornyboa/unkn1.jpg

Thanks for your time,
Rick S.

While that boa could be just about anything, I can see where you'd come up with a central american/nicaraguan hypothesis. The dark coloration, small size, and circle back pattern are all central american traits. But I am leaning towards more of a south american appearance with that one.

It's so hard to tell these days... Sometimes it is just safe to call it a boa.
