In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If I could live anywhere in the world it would be.....

I was on the phone with a good friend today, who is retiring this Friday at the ripe old age of 46! Talk of where he plans on spending the rest of his life came up. Now, money is no object for him, and a couple years back he bought a house in Belize for his retirement. Actually, starting this Winter, he will spend 3/4 of his time there, and the rest here in AZ. Now, if money wasn't an issue, where would you go? Up until a couple years ago I had planned on Cape Cod, MA, but the tourist industry has destroyed my "heaven", plus I don't care for the cold. Now the plan is, in 12 years when my youngest graduates high school, I will be selling all and heading to Salt Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands. How about you???

To be honest i would move to AZ. Some where near a drag strip so i could race all year round. But i would also have a log cabin just right out of Red Lodge MT (where i am origanlly from) The sking is great and the view is truely breath taking.
I guess it sounds lame, but i'm a simple person with simple tastes. (sometimes):)

For me, I would just stay in the good old US of A.
I think of travelling overseas sometimes but in the end I always choose somewhere here.
I like Kentucky. Not all that hot all year yet not the fierce cold of the north in the winter. So that is where I would pick. Visits to Hawaii would be good too :)
Gee, how boring is that? Oh well, retiring for me is contentment without worry.

For me I would live either in Costa Rica or a small island I found in my travels of Europe off the Northeastern coast of Sicily near Marsala called Favignana.

Given what is happening elsewhere in the world I am grateful to be living here in the United States, in my tiny old house in Texas. I am happy for my relative safety here, especially being a single parent. But, as long as I live somewhere where I can do my thing and help the poor, the ill, the young, the downtrodden, my surroundings do not make a huge difference.

I want to be back in Georgia, near family. All of my family, and part of my husband's all live in GA, and it would be so nice to have a babysitter when needed!! Someday...maybe....

I'd always want a place up here in the north, its not Christmas unless there's snow on the ground. Plus I like the friendliness from strangers here in MI. Ideally I'd like to buy my grandparents' old place in kentwood. I couldn't live down south despite the nice weather, I am pretty fond of Arizona tho... may end up going to vet school at Colorado State, so maybe I'll like it there too.

And if money were really no object, I'd keep a place between Firenzi and Roma, and I would do **anything** for a rent control apt in manhattan.

the sedona AZ area... got to be some of the prettiest places on this earth!!!
southern colorado or northern new mexico dunno where
or somewhere along the delaware river gap -beautiful country there

Ya know, as much as i hate to admit it, i really do like it in michigan ;) and i agree with Whitney, its just not christmas without snow!

But i also love southern florida and around the everglades, i think it would be great to maybe have a summer house down there. and i think living in australia would be awesome, thats the one place i really want to visit sometime.

Australia, I heard they got spiders there vwith fangs big enough they can actually bite you through your boots; not me baby if the plane lands in an Australian airport I am not even getting outta my seat lol......

I really love good ole Texas. Nice and hot. My dad and I used to take several trips a year to Toledo Bend fishing.

I think in another life I must have been a reptile because when it's 90° or better I love it. When it gets below 70°, I'm cold.

Oh and I'd love to travel, Africa, Australia, etc.

Karen
