In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Iinferital supers?

:iagree:
I was really sad when I saw it for sale at the show. If someone won't cull this defect and wants to sell their deformed snakes as a 'pet only' to someone they trust won't beed it, fine but to offer to the general public (at such a low price) just didn't seem very ethical to me.

Part of why I quit going to shows was what I was seeing was pissing me off. Get mad, and I don't hold back. I just don't need the trouble. LOL

Wonder what a vendor would do if you just bought it and culled right there at his booth, explaining to him that this is the ethical thing he should have done at birth?

Don't get me wrong, I ain't against the whole pet idea, but too often they have a change of heart. Culling is the only guarantee it doesn't enter the gene pool.

Unfortunately, June 17th she dropped a slightly premature litter of stillborns.:( Its not all bad news though. All were visual jungles. This proves that super jungles are NOT sterile, like originally suspected (females anyway). If I did the math right, they were only 11 days premature. This is the closest anyone has gotten to producing a litter with a Super. Hope isn't lost yet. Premature litters are more common than many would like to admit. Perhaps her second litter will give a more desired result.:shrug01:

Well, that sucks. I think she was more then 11 days premature judging by those yolk sacks. But it does prove the females can produce babies. Better luck next year.

I was thinking of doing a super jungle coral albino pairing in 2011 but i think i'll settle for a couple jungle sunglow litters. I dont think i'd feel right producing supers with what is known now, even if females can produce, I cant produce males i know are infertile. Its a shame, I would have loved to see them coral albino super jungles..

Her POS was March 15th. I counted 105 days and came up with June 28th. I did it quick, so I may have made a mistake.

A local guy produced albino super jungles and sunglow super jungles this year. Pretty sweat looking. Unfortunately, several babies in the litter died within 24 hrs, including the albino and sunglow super jungles. I have photos that he took, but I will have to get his permission before posting them.

I'm not a 100% decided yet, but I might shoot for albino and sunglow super jungles this coming season. The pair I would use to make these are well out crossed and unrelated. Hopefully, that is the key.

thanks for posting the updated pics Lee! (they aren't showing now, but I saw them yesterday) I was wondering what had happened with that litter.

I really hope the more people outcross the stronger they will be, the supers are just so neat looking! I have an unrelated pair of red group jungles that I hope will make some good strong supers in a few more years.

That's a shame. You'd think 11 days wouldn't result in all of them dead, but rather some scrawny things, maybe tail or something not quite fully developed, but all still born?

Hopefully, like April said, the more outcrossing, the better the results will be in the future.

Sorry only ½ your plan worked out for you. Better luck next time.

I would hypothesize that it is the key. another reason I wont be doing it is my albino jungle (pictured above) is a PK produced animal and my jungle het albino female is also PK produced so i doubt they are very outcrossed.
Since yours are well outcrossed you might have a lot better chances than I with supers.
