I have decided to reduce my collection to make room for some new projects, and offer some imperfect Northern Green Ratsnakes (Senticolis triaspis intermedia) for sale. These are offspring from legally collected LTC pure locality parents.
These have minor kinks and some of the 2010 and 2011 offspring have shorter than normal tails. None of these anomalies affects these snakes' lives in any way, and I don't believe they will hinder breeding. I also do not believe that these minor deformities are genetic in nature, and will share my thoughts and those of others as to what is going on with them, and provide individual pics of the snakes and their deformities - to serious potential buyers only. To sort of back up the thought that they are not genetic is the fact that I have one baby from a different locality, which also hatched with a kink. Currently, I believe them to be the result of some incubation issue or dietary issue with the parents, which I am working hard to correct. This year's clutches are the best looking so far, with only very slight deformities. Due to the fact that these have slight deformities, I am willing to sell single females, but will also give discounts on pairs, trios and groups.
I have:
SOLD! 0.1 2010 Santa Rita locale which I have been raising to be a possible breeder in 2013. She has a shorter than normal tail and very minor kinking above her vent. She is very robust and takes multiple adult mice per meal. I am asking $200 plus shipping for her. This is the snake in the photo, as a yearling.
SOLD! 1.0 2011 Santa Rita with minor kinks and a shorter than normal tail. He takes multiple f/t hoppers per meal with gusto. I am asking $150 plus shipping for him.
SOLD! 1.0 2012 Pajarito Mountains locale with a minor kink. He is taking f/t fuzzy mice. I am asking $100 plus shipping for him.
Thanks for looking!
