• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Impersonation...

I just got a PM from someone asking me about some emails he got from a [email protected].

They were NOT from me.

So apparently someone is trying to impersonate me and cause some conflict by emailing at least one member here and talking trash to them to try to get them riled up thinking I was actually saying such things.

Luckily the recipient was smart enough to recognize the ruse immediately.

So beware of the same things happening to some of you other folks. I think it doesn't take too much of an imagination to generate a very short list of suspects of who is actually behind this latest immature game....

are you fricken kidding me........................

Wow. Just wow..............

Bobby,
It's kind of a bitch when you start to circle the drain at Fauna and all of the wolves come out to feed.

You brought this on yourself!

Bobby,
You are always welcome to take the members you were able to scavenge from Fauna and enjoy yourself on your own forum.
The choice is yours.

Suit yourself Bobby.
Fauna does not need you. You have shown your colors over and over.
May I suggest that instead of leaving with a fanfair, only to return, again and again;
that for once, you actually stand by your word, and simply go away.

Yea Rich, ya gotta love them spinless cowards.

Let me guess. At first i thought it was the Leverocks, but i think this might be someone else.

I doubt it. It's probably someone who thinks he's Mighty Great. It does, after all have a shrill tone to it.

I see your point, but he is not the only one with a silver tounge. I really think this coward has a reason he don't want me here.

I didn't think of that one, Jim. Is there any way to trace the email address back to whoever did it?

Does nothing to confirm who sent the message but if my memory serves me correctly, those words were written to Bobby once before. Can't remember the topic or who posted it but it was somewhere here on Fauna.

Bobby, I think you are being more than a bit paranoid. This was meant to get at Rich and at Fauna more than at you. You were just a convenient target after your recent behavior on the BOI. If someone else had been in that train wreck, the emails would have gone to that person. The idea that you might pick up your marbles and go play elsewhere is not a new one after all.

Well I have my reason, it was not sent to [email protected], it was the ones my friends use, [email protected].

I remember something very similar, don't know if was "word for word" or not....and not sure if it was just one person who said it.

But indeed, I remember it....I don't think it was written in quite as shrill of a tone as I would expect from certain folks, however.

A gmail address has got to be easier to trace than a yahoo one.
That is not an anonymous email service and not a lot of people use gmail.
Plus I think Bobby has a point. Whoever sent those emails didn't just use his "contact me" info but rather used the email that most inquiries would not be going to.

Actually, it is as "anonymous" as Yahoo. It's Google's answer to Yahoo mail and millions of people use it worldwide. I have about 10 gmail addresses that I use for sites that I run, most all forwarded to my main address.

Unless you have a court order, Google will not release the IP from which the account was created, and that may well have been a proxy. Most proxies delete their apache logs frequently to avoid having to turn over information about what IP's have used their servers, so tracking them is hard. In this case, not worth the effort involved.

*sighs*

Sad really. though highly amusing how very little backbone this proves they, and others like them, have. Just goes to show ya how low they gotta go to try to get "their" word out, only to hid behind a false name. Yeah these morons are real freakin clever *sigh*

I was wondering about that....although it is listed as your Paypal addy, I would think (which usually gets me in trouble) that most random people would have used the actual contact addy given, unless they already had an adress for you.

Can you guesstimate how many people actually have your personal email address? (I'm 1, I know that :D ) And how many of them are spineless cowards?

And some people will wonder why I sometimes just get tired of the morons who, because they shot off both feet, want to hold ME personally responsible for allowing that information to be exposed for the world to see.

Yeah, I know it is a difficult concept for some to grasp, but this site does have substantial costs associated with it that have nothing at all to do with actual $$ expenditures involved.

Bobby, you had the "twoteals" addy listed as your contact addy on your site (varnyard herps) until fairly recently, didn't you? That's the only addy I have for you. I hadn't been to your personal website for a while and didn't even know about the yahoo one.
