    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

How do you go about aquiring one?
Here is my plan. I am looking to open a small store specializing in herps and tropical fish.
It will basically be saltwater fish, corals, live rock, live sand, freshwater tropical fish, and reptiles.
I have the connections to get all the fish, corals, etc, at very good wholesale prices so even with a markup, my prices would be lower than every other store.
I would like to be able to offer rare herps at competitive prices.
This store would fill a niche in my state and I figure quality products you do not see anywhere else and really good prices would help make it a success.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Steve, as I understand it, I doubt it would be worth your time (a lot) and money (even more) to try an import. Even once you get the license you can't just call up and say "send me 100 ball pyhtons." The exporters have minimum orders, and they are in control of what you get. You order 100 balls, you might get 50, and then 50 rock pythons, 25 misc. African toads, 175 savannahs, 3 half dead black-throats, and thier ugliest daughter. Oh and don't forget the occasional mislabel venomous snake that makes it's way to you.

If all you are suppling is one store, you would be much better off just finding your self a good wholesaler. Thier are tons of them out there, which is right for you depends on your criteria. Post those then we can give you some recommendations.
