    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Do people use the "tremper" incubation method for females and is it safe if people use it? I have 20 eggs incubating for female right now and was wondering if it was safe or considered morally ok to slowly rise the temperature to improve their colors and shorten the incubation time. Thanks in advance for any help.

Eric, I am sure that you will get differant opinions on this issue. Mine are as follows. I think that you will end up with some animals with defects. I know that this can happen regardless of changing the temps but I believe the totals are higher when you do. I also believe that the animals are misrepresented. The genetics should be the cause of the animals colors not an outside manipulation. Like I said this is only my opinion and I'm sure that others will offer theirs.

This method will dramaticly decrease your hatch rate..... It can also cause deformities and other developmental problems...... I feel anything that is used to make "better" coloration or pattern in an animal that is proven to cause health issues is unethical and irresponsible (ie; hybridization and tremper incubation method).....

It also falsely represents the true color of the animal which can be misleading to a person buying such animals.....

Well then it's settled. I'll incubate at a constant 82 degrees. Thanks for all your help!

i just posted this on another thread

well i have somthin to say bout it.
i dont think the Tremper incubation method is a great idea at this piont but me and Chad (Diablohogs) split a pair of hatchmates from my incubater and i kept mine at exactly 90 (constant) while he put his in his baby rack at whatever. mine came out very white and light colored while his has pink going on. so im thinkin you can acheive basically the same effect by controlling temp. imediately after hatching with no risk to the developing embryo.
id post pics but my cameras broken

not tryin to misrepresent my animals, wasnt even really on purpose, i just noticed that mine was way lighter than chads and i have kept a close eye on my temperatures.
just to add my constant 90 was only on the hot side
