In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Incubators...

Thanks alot! Can the incubator be set at around 80 for female eggs? Im just getting into breeding and dont have enough space to place just the box near the heat tape. Thanks.

Your Welcom bud.

When I got my first eggs, I didn't have an incubator eather. They sat on the shelf next to a lamp that was on another tank for about 2 weeks. Then I put them in the bator and they where fine. Many people just set the eggs on the shelf for females.
100% females= 79 degrees
100% males= 90 degrees
50/50= 85 degrees

I heat them for female at 80 so I can keep them in pairs without a fight. The only reason I would go for male is to get brighter coloring or for a breader.

Remember that you may get a cold male if you heat to low like in 77. You might get a hot female if you heat at 92. These females will act mean, like a male, and the males will act...like a female...don't want to use the G word. :hehe:

Ask any questions you have. This is just some info to get you started on sexing your babies.

Hehehe, g... homosexual geckos. :hehe:

Thanks for the info! I might breed next season, or maybe late this season, ill have to wait and see tho.

It's not that exact... there is never 100% assurance on sex.

and the males will act...like a female...don't want to use the G word. :hehe:
Where did you hear that? I would love to see that in print from someone that would know better... and I don't mean off of someones webpage!

Just like "Hot females" that bully there cage mates and don't breed. If you get a male in the low temps like 77, then it will be just like a female with male parts.
A while back on KS, one of the main breeders said this and it makes sence. :hehe:

Right after I said the temps to %, I also said you can get some other sexes right out of the blue, like hot and cold leo's. :hehe:

Sorry but this is just BS. I have been breeding leos for 12 years and you are the only person I have ever heard this from. This sounds like the crappy disinformation you find on the KS forums.

You DID? Where?

Yes, I am very well aware of that but this has nothing to do with your claims of gay geckos... you can't back it up!

gay geckos would be intresting. not very good for breeding, but still intresting. would they be sold as homo?

how could a male gecko act gay anyways? they try to breed with other males instead of fighting? you can't really say it acts gay just because it doesn't belch and fart in your face when you pick it up.

Not as gay as trying to breed with other males, but gay enough never to try it on a female. They would just be as calm as females are. You know how males have bad tempers over females tempers.

I once had a leo that was both male and female, a he/she. Seriously.

so it went both ways for breeding? it seriously had "all" of the parts?

Congrats Kelli!...
