• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey Mark, I am thinking on relocating farther out I-70 somewhere.... How are the Boidae laws in indiana? I have Boas and ball pythons... Denny

The only restrictions are on venomous and native species.

INDIANA EXOTICS LAW IS BEING AMENDED (Now is the time to take action!!!)

The link below is the proposed bill. It will drastically affect everyone that keeps:

1. Venomous reptiles.

2. Crocodilians.

3. Constrictor snakes that have the potential to exceed six (6) feet in length.

4. Komodo dragons, water monitors, and crocodile monitors.

If we do not address this we will always wish we did. This bill states that any animals that fall into the descriptions above will have to have a $100 per animal permit. Those that violate these guidelines listed in the bill can be charged with a Class A misdemeanor. NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT!!!

Senate Bill 0017

Exotic animals. Makes it a Class C misdemeanor to knowingly or intentionally release an exotic or wild animal into the wild without legal authorization or a permit issued by the department of natural resources (department), and provides that the fine for unlawfully releasing an exotic or wild animal is at least $500 and not more than $2,500. Requires a person in the business of selling exotic reptiles to obtain a permit from the department, and makes it a Class C misdemeanor to knowingly or intentionally sell an exotic reptile without a permit. Requires a person not in the business of selling exotic reptiles to notify the department before selling an exotic reptile, and makes the failure to notify the department a Class C infraction.
