In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey All,
I wanted to tell you all about an idea I have for my next art project,...T-shirts!!! I'm going to draw up a design for a new indigo shirt. Available in only one color,...indigo. I have enough pics, and live subjects now that I won't need any additional reference material. But,.....

Then I'm Going to do a drymarchon family shirt,...you know, like the ones you see at all the herp shows now, only for drymarchon. It's one they have not yet done, but needs to be done. So since nobody else seems to want the job, I guess I'll step up to the plate on that one. This one should prove interesting since photographic reference material on some of the other members of the drymarchon subspecies will be difficult if not impossible to acquire. With something like that, you can bet it will suffer close scrutiny from the die hard dry lovers. I will need to get scalation just right, so any help you could give up as far as drymarchon head shots, and full body pics, especially close-ups, I would greatly appreciate it! Those who donate pics to this cause will not be disappointed, and will receive a free t-shirt before anyone else. Also, I will put any potential profit into Indigos Forever/indigosforever.org. So anyone who helps out with pics will also be helping out on that front. I will also make the following personal guarantee; If I recieve, or I can find, enough GOOD pics of the other members of the drymarchon sub-species, I will make us some AW SOME T-shirts! And raise some money for a good cause.

So there it is folks. The offer is on the table. Also, any tips which put me in contact with other folks with pics will not be forgotten. Any help I can get on this one will ultimately come back as good karma for anyone involved.

Now lets see those pics! Thanks in advance,
T.

Well, I'm a couple steps closer to getting this done. I found someone to print them for me, and I have begun the preliminary sketch. You folks are gonna love this. I garonteee.

Great news, Tony!

The Gopher Tortoise Council had an incredible drawing of an eastern Indigo on the T-shirt to commemorate their '04 meeting and they were awesome and I cannot wait to see what you produce Tony, as I have seen some of your art work and you are incredibly talented. Feel free to user any of the images in my gallery and I will be happy to forward you any that you might wish to have. Of course, I will have Cort take the pictures!
Should you be taking advance orders, let me know what to send you for such..

Thank you,

Jeff

I'm in. I'd like to encourage this project. I think you'll be able to sell these well. Especially if you take a load of them to a reptile show like the one in Daytona :)

I THINK I meant Tampa LOL.

Or whereEVER the hell it's gonna be :) Obviously I've always missed it. Would LIKE to go, but I'm on the opposite side of the country.

Maybe someday :)

Get them T-shirts goin' :)

Hang on to your hats!

I am nearing completion of the final drawing for the indigo T-shirts. And I'm very pleased with the way it's turning out. Now cross your fingers and hope that it looks as good on a black shirt as it does on black paper. If so,...I think you guys will like it! I might even have some hats made for a select few individuals. Those of you who are follicularly challenged might like those. The final rendering will be complete within 24 hrs, unless something terrible happens. The weather is supposed to get wild and woolly tomorrow eve. Hopefully I'll be done before the schtuff hits the fan. The next step is to submit it to the printing company. And they will let me know if it will work. If so, it won't be long. If not,...back to the drawing board. Either way,...hang in there guys,...they're comming.

Just like Christmas!

Can't wait to see the final product Tony! Also, I believe I resemble your latter comment, but you might want to get a cap for yourself and hold onto it, as you just might need it in a few more years! ;0)
One more thing, are the shirts going to be available only in black?

Best regards,

Jeff

Final Draft is now ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here it is. I hope you all enjoy it. Enjoy,...but don't try to reproduce this image,...OR ELSE! You'll be able to buy it on a T-shirt, at a herp show near you soon,...I hope.

Very cool. I just think the only thing that could be adjusted is that very top green leaf that KIND of looks like it's coming out of the snakes mouth.

Don't take that as criticism as I'm really not the "artsy fartsy" TYPE LOL.

Just the only think I would adjust :)

That's THING not think :slamit:

Thanks, but,....This rendering may or may not make it onto the shirts. The technique of applying color to black paper is a new one for me. Although I am also experimenting with another technique in which I make all the exacting, tiny details on the front of white paper with ink, and charcoal. And then on the back, I apply the color. This makes for a stunning image, especially when you put a light behind the picture,... but I do not know how to, or if it's even possible to copy it,...let alone transfer that image to a T-shirt. Bare in mind that this is a photo of a picture. Which is something very difficult to do. So the photo does not quite look like the real picture, and I made some changes after I snapped it. So nobody can copy the real deal. But having looked at it for a couple days now, I can see some things I'd like to change, so,....back to the drawing board. It won't get released for everyone to wear until I get it just right. But hang in there,...it's comming. And when it gets here, you'll all be blown away!

Now as far as Jeff getting what he wants, we'll see. I do plan to do one more of all the other drysubs. But before I can do one of Mexicans, I would need to HAVE SOME Mexicans! {hint} Did you send it yet? How's it feel to want? Sorry bro, I could not resist.
T.
P.S. Did anyone i.d. the 2 species of flora?

Looks great Tony! My only criticism is the mouth, it should be closed. Yeah, yeah, I know you think I should close my mouth too! :raspberry

I thought the same but figured it was just me.

Otherwise, very cool.

Thanks for all the replies. I have no problem with receiving criticism whatsoever. I have nothing but respect for all your candor. All comments will be taken into consideration while I create the next one. In fact,...I need your advice as I want people to like the finished product, so they will buy it. But do keep in mind that this pic of a pic is not an accurate representation of the real deal. Also, I do have another technique that I will employ on the next effort. And you will not be able to see the color until it goes onto a shirt, so it is imperative that we work out all the bugs now. Any rate,...I want you guys to be happy with it, so I will keep at it until we achieve perfection! And remember, this will not be MY shirt,...it will be OUR shirt. So keep it comming guys, this is good. Thanks and stay tuned,
T.

The next one,...

O.K. I thought I'd share this one BEFORE I take it any further. I will add vegitation, and background next. But I wanted you guys to have a look at this one, and get y'alls feedback before I do any more. This one is a little biger too. I hope it fits on a T-shirt! What do you guys think about this version? I won't be satisfied until it's perfect.
T.
