In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Today at my favorite pet store down town, I saw for the first time a little Indonesian Tree Boa that they had at the counter. I was able to hold him and he was just amazing, completely took my breath away. So I'm wondering if anyone here has ever worked with them before? I know I want my next snake to be an arboreal one, but I was going to go with a carpet python, cause I'm completely in love with these guys too. So what are yall's experience with these types of boas/pythons? Thanks!

I've kept Solomon Island tree boas, similar to the indos (they get a little bit bigger/girthier). They're great snakes as long as you're ok with dealing with the volume of waste they produce, and their pee is like glue.

They are personable small aboreal snakes that are easy to house and handle. My SITBs liked a water dish big enough to soak in (change it frequently, they will defecate in it). 92Fish hot spot going down to whatever (mid to upper 70s).

They tend to like frogs and lizards and geckos as food as WC, but they can be weaned onto rodents. They have a very slow metabolism to be careful not to overfeed.
