    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone ever done business with Aquatic Pet Connection in Dalton Ga?
It is a pet store but he also sells reptiles and frozen rodents. I think the guys name is Brandon.
Anyway, I ordered 50 frozen rats from him in the spring, and when i got a day to drive up there, he wasnt there, and I got one of his employees to help me, she called him and figured everything out. The rats were great but it just bothered me that when he said he was going to be there, he wasn't.
Now, I contacted him again in late June, about order 120 med/large rats. He gave me a good price and I told him that the saturday after the 4th of July I would drive up to pick them up. Well, I never got a email back from him saying he would be there and I have emailed him many times to see if he still has the rats. I called his store twice to try to talk with him, but he is never there. I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem. They aren't many rat dealers in north georgia, and shipping on rats is too expensive.

I have had one deal with him

I have only dealt with him once. I drove over from N/W Alabama to purchase a number of live adult rats. I picked up approx 50 jumbo males, and around 80 adult female rats. I had no problem communicating with him. He answered every email I sent, had his "rat woman" meet me at the store, and we drove over to the "rat barn", which is only 1 or 2 miles from the store.

They were all very nice, helpful and friendly with me. We picked out some very nice breeder rats, and I got a killer deal on them. I have not had to purchase any feeder rats since then!!

Now, I have not talked to anyone over there since I picked up the rats, and that has been a while. So, I can't speak for any current situations that may be causing a communication problem. Constant communication through out a deal is the most important aspect of sales as far as I am concerned.

Anyways, as I said, my deal with them went very smooth, and I would deal with them agian based on my experience.

Wow...I was stunned to see this thread and can't quite figure out the basis behind it. I own Aquatic Pet Connection and am one of the partners in North GA Herpetoculture. First off, the last e-mail I received from Mike was sent on Friday July 4 (which happens to be a national holiday and no I wasn't at the computer that day) saying Mike wanted to come get rats the following day on Sat. It was the following Monday when I checked my e-mail and I have recieved no further e-mails nor received any messages that Mike has tried to contact me by phone. The last time Mike came to pick up rats I had them ready for him just as he had asked. I didn't know that it was pertinent that I be there for the rats to be picked up, but still I did have intentions of being there because I wanted to meet Mike. Though I wasn't able to make it, we had agreed on a price already and the rats were where I said they would be. Shortly after that I sent an e-mail explaining something had come up that day preventing me from being there and I mentioned I had checked out his web site and noticed he wasn't offering mice or rats and that I would like to talk to him about possibly supplying him at a price we could both come out good at. Three months or so passed and I never got a reply. I apologize Mike for not holding up to the level of service you expected. The last thing I want to do is run off potential business. In the past I have mainly bred rats to meet the demand for the snakes we breed and time to time if I had a surplus I would offer them for sale. I have the capacity to produce lots more than I do but without a regular outlet I usually found myself overwhelmed with extra rats to care for. That's why I had e-mailed you about possibly getting something going on a regular basis. At the time around July 4 I did not have 120 extra rats. I should have e-mailed to let you know but had intentions of letting you know as soon as I did have enough to meet your needs. I guess what bothers me a little is I never heard from you again and then I see this thread on here. I wish you would have sent me a follow up e-mail and I think we could have resolved the matter without getting to this. Thank you Jason for your comments. That is more what I am used to hearing and dealing with. Like I said, I have a lot going on and every now and then I may overlook something here or there but I am not trying to avoid anyone who is wanting to do business. I was a little disappointed when I never heard back from you after the first time you came up and I never in a million years thought you were mad about this matter. If you want to buy rats I will be glad to provide you with what I can and do my best to live up to your expectations. I am only human though and if and when I ever err again a simple e-mail and I will make things right with you. Again, I apologize and I hope you don't have any hard feelings.

Brandon, I didnt mean any harm about this thread, I just wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with you.
The one time I can to pick up the rats, the email you sent said you would be there and you weren't, I didn't know what to expect then.
I emailed you the fifth of july about the rats, and never received any email back, so I emailed you once more time and since I didn't hear anything back from you, I didn't know what to think. I do have to say, your rats I got the first time were great, I had no problem with them. I was just upset b/c I was extremely low on rats and needed really bad.
Like i said in the beginning, I didnt mean any harm by the thread and I will try to do business with you again.
