    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am sorry to hear that the animal perished and the others are incorrectly sexed.

Now why would you wait around for an e-mail response? Pick up the phone and call him direct. His number is listed in his ad. Why would you jump on here and not contact him first and give him time to rectify the situation? You should have called him and waited for his response before posting anything on here about it. Now I am not trying to justify the dead animal or the mis-sexed ones but give the Man a chance to correct the mistake and take care of it before you put it on here.

Your otehr thread has been placed into this exhisting thread where it should have been placed to begin with. AS for the smell, I can't say for sure how long the animal had been dead but the W/C Fat tails when they DIE stink wether it has been for only a couple of hours or a week. The animal very well could have perished during shipping as I doubt very seriously that he would have sent a dead animal out in the package specially knowing you were on the BOI.
 
i called with no answer. im going to call him back and leave a message. , sorry man i thought this was the right thing to do, i didnt call him a bad guy or nothing just needed imput from others, lets please not turn this into something it isnt.

No offense, but we are not making this into something it is not, you are the one that jumped the gun (same as in another situation involving you if I remember correctly) and posted it on the BOI without giving him time to call you back or respond back to you. He does work another job and is not afforded the luxury of being able to answer his calls and e-mails as quickly as some of us are. HAd you left a message you would probably have received a call back as soon as he was able to get the message and call you back.
 
just got ahold of him everything will be alright, didnt know i did the right thing or not by posting this so soon, but I talked to him and we are working things out, ill be sure to post as soon as things are in motion.
 
well sorry man, i didnt know what else to do, this is the first time this happend. seems like i say a lot of im sorrys but i really thought this was the way to go , i didnt lable him as a bad guy or anything, now that you bring that up i see how i should of waited to talk to him one on one. everything should work out fine and i will post it as it goes. sorry if i took the wrong rout, once again,

I didnt have the intention of implying i thought he sent me a dead fat tail on purpose, sorry if it came across that way.

Not to bust your chops but that is exactly what you were trying to say. You yourself said the animal had been dead for a few days.
 
they been in the box since wendsday, he brought them to fedex to late to be shipped on wendesday, they left thursday , and got here friday. should of been more clear , you can bust my chops all you want, if i do something wrong at least i can be sure you will let me know about it = ). but listen i would of posted if everything was 100% perfect, i posted b4 i did this deal, posted when i sent the money, and posted when i recived the geckos. well ill be back and post again when we figure out where to take it from here.
 
also i wasnt aware that fattail geckos smell really bad an hour 2 two after they die. thanks for letting me know that info.

In reality the gecko died sometime between Wednesday and today. It could have been dead for 24 h for all we know.
 
yeah , thats what i meen, and thats why i had to say i didnt meen to imply i thought he sent me a pre dead fattail, didnt want to send the wrong message. i dont know if i posted already, but i have talked to the seller and he plans on sending me out a replacement for the dead female, and as for the sexs of the geckos he said he sexed them b4 sending but could be a honest mixup and will check the ones he still has when he gets to his house and will get back to me some time over the weekend. I in no way tryd to imply that he is a bad guy or that i have been scamed at all, just wanted to post the info as it came in. and when the geckos came in i felt the need to post about it. everything is in motion and we should have a resolved this whole deal by tuesday, and i will be sure to post everything as i said once before " for good or bad" take care everyone

If I understand you correctly, they were shipped wednsday ground? If they had been shipped overnite they should have arrived on thursday?
If they were in fact shipped wendsday ground for arrival on friday, did you agree to this?
 
no, they where brought to fedex on wendsday, but the seller missed the truck, so they where sent out on thursday and recived be me today (friday)

I just heard that you were the one that insisted on them being shipped ground. Why would you demand this? To save a few bucks? It normally cost for instate overnight shipping about $16-$18 for the size box they would have been shipped in and ground would cost about $7. Personally no matter if you insisted or demanded it I would not have shipped them ground but if I had there would be no live arrival guarantee. So if this is so that it was your choice about using ground you should be glad that he is going to replace the dead animal as I would not have.

well we talked and decided that the best way to go was to just refund the money for the 1 doa fattail. good guy and very easy to work with , we where very understanding of each other, and i most likely will be ordering some leos from him and possabley some tree frogs. well take care everyone

How do you figure under 20 hours? The package had to sit at Fed-ex overnight and not be shipped out until the following evening. That is 24+ the 20 hours. Had you let him ship it express it would have been there Thursday for sure and you probably would have had all of them arrive alive.
 
yeah but that extra day has nothing to do with the ground shipping, the shipper brought it there to late to go out . see ya
