    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am sorry, I got in trouble with the board police about the TITLE of my post. This is the first time starting a thread and I am not use to posting on any boards. I only post on ONE and thats it.

Anyway! I was just wondering if anyone had ever heard of him or know him.

He shipped me a Blue Tongue SKink and a Cali King Snake. He shipped them Fed Exp. They didnt arrive on Thursday, I called, it was stuck in Memphis. They should be OK, he said he put extra heat pads and an insulated box. But The place was stuck in Memphis in 24 degree weather. I called and called Fed Express and finally got someone to help me. Charles (chuck) had emailed the exact description of the package and it was an 8x8x8 brown package with no writing other than the label. THey had traced the package and found it but had to wait for Wildlife officials to come in and open it. When they did the snake was dead and the skink was very, very sick.

I feel very bad that this happen. It affected me more than anyone knows. In fact my husband had to end up calling Fed Ex again because I started crying. I felt so bad that I was the cause of those little babies being cold and dying. In the days before he shipped them to me, I talked to him ALOT via email. He always responded to me....fast! As soon as I told him that the snake was dead and the skink was very sick, he sent me one more email. That he had two skinks that were a good pair that he could send to me. I totally understand his side and that this is his lively hood. But I really dont want anything ever shipped to me again. I just couldnt do it again. We were lucky enough to find a skink at PetSmart Christmas Eve nite @ 4pm. But the snake, well I am waiting till the reptile show.

He did give me a Guarateed Live delivery in his email. I am just hoping that he is trying to work something out. But all I am asking for is an email. I just want to know. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and let him be over the holidays. But, I have heard nothing.

If you can give me any advice....I would greatly appreciate it! and again sorry I didnt follow the rules of the board!

How did you hook up with the seller? Does he have a website? Basically your remedy depemds on the details of your agreement. If he unconditionally guaranteed live delivery than you are entitled to a refund. However, some sellers will only give credit rather than a cash refund. Others will not guarantee against shipper error which this was.

It all depends on the agreed upon terms.
 
I really hate to hear about the loss of the animals and hope that the seller does make good on his guarantee.

FWIW, I live in Memphis and the week of Christmas the city was at a standstill. We had about 2' on ice on the ground. This area is VERY poorly prepared for something like that. FedEx's main hub and headquarters are here. Almost every package is routed through Memphis.

Also, most forums have rules about posting. Like reading instructions, reading the rules is always a good idea. The rules for the BOI are VERY specific on what should be where and they a prominently displayed on the main page. I would not pick on the moderator's for your oversight.
