In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I Maybe they have adeno maybe they dont. I also decided to breed them this year and have had great results.

If I see an ad of yours for dragons, I will take the time to link this thread to it.
There have been people here on this site who have put down their collections after finding an infectious disease confirmed in their critters. That is the ultimate sacrifice to the reptile community.

I wonder, not only in critters but in people too, how much disease is spread by people who know something is amiss and yet take no precautions for containment.

For 1 I didn't know much of anything about the adeno virus when I decided to breed them. I use to get on this site years ago but haven't been on much lately. I was staying with in laws while we were building our house which I did much of myself. While with my in laws we didn't have internet access and were waiting to finish the house to have room to breed. Once we got settled in we decided to breed them, this was still before I got our new computer.

2nd whomever is putting down their collection due to the fact they may have something or even if they do have something that we still don't know much about is a idiot. People are saying that they have breeding pairs which 1 has tested positive while the other tested negative, so we are still not sure how this is passed, so why not isolate the ones that are positvie instead of killing them.

3rd why in the hell would you link the thread to my ads, are you linking adeno virus info to all the other breeders selling their dragons that aren't providing any adeno info and not testing themselves. This is exactly why no one is speaking how they feel because idiots like yourself want to lynch someone that says or does something you don't agree with. Its better to just keep your mouth shut. I'm not trying to speak for Dachiu but I would say this is the reason they are supposedly dodging questions, because it doesn't matter what they say you all will twist their words and hold it against them for life.

4th When I do post ads I will state that I have not tested for adeno and will give a 6 week guarantee. I will not sell any dragons that I believe are not thriving for any reason, adeno or not. As I stated before I own a business and am part of the BBB in my area and have not had 1 call back in 6 years or BBB complaint. I believe you can make money with an honest legit business, and I don't believe that my integrity should be in question because I'm not killing my seemingly perfectly healthy family members.(dragons) Charlie

That is an EXCELLENT question.

Now apply that question to someone's else's collection besides Dachiu.

Imagine that someone else's collection was wiped out from buying an AV positive dragon. How do you think THEY should react, when THEIR livelihood is destroyed, leaving them financially ruined?

Hm. Deep thought. :shrug01:

No need to be a smart a$$ cat but I guess weve all become use to that from you. We all know about quarentineing dragons. If the documents are true that most if not all collections have adeno present then is anyone doing anything wrong by selling dragons they believe to be healthy. I think if the seller truly believes that this disease is not the killer that people are saying then in their eyes they are doing nothing wrong. But for the sellers that see the deaths and are trying to hurry the rest out the door then they should shut down. If anyone truly believes they have a all negative colony then they should take extreme precautions and right now shouldnt introduce any dragons to their collections.

I wasn't being as "smart ***", Charlie....I truly thought that you asked an excellent question, but asked you to apply that question to another's point of view, and think about it. Perhaps I gave you too much credit, I was simply trying to provoke thought.

And no, not everyone knows about quarantine, and even some who do don't use it properly.

I have bought from dachiu before and was fully satisfied with our pretty baby .... whom is very much still alive and thriving. People need to stop whining, if it says on their disclaimer they don't test then you should have read it before you bought. I will deff. buy from dachiu again in the future, they are very professional and are great people to deal with.

shame some people have to be bitter over their own stupidity.

Fair enough, I thought you were saying I wasnt able to think rationally. Im sorry for jumping the gun on that one. I do understand what your saying. I have thought how terrible it would be if my collection seems fine now to bring another 1 in and everything go down hill. I would be a little outraged but I would have to really think that the person not only knew that particular dragon had a virus and also that the virus would essentially wipe out my colony before I would damn the seller. I truly dont believe that most the breeders either know the dragons they sell are positive and if they do actually believe that being positive actually means a whole lot as we understand it right now unless they are showing signs. Lets say that a breeder is making $60,000 a year from the sell of dragons, what if the breeder believed in this virus and shut down operations. They lose everything in the process because they couldnt replace that income right away then 3 years later Dr. Jacobson comes out and says it wasnt the adeno virus after all it was a pesticide found on mustard greens that was resposible for the die offs. That is purely an example, just trying to say they cant shut down off of theories. Charlie
