    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I see that Bill from Briarpatch chimed in. I find this VERY funny after getting emails from Bill trying to sell me a normal animal for $1000's of dollars.

The ad was originally posted to screw with the people that e-mailed me saying the the ad I posted for that jungle? snake was to high, I posted it for 1250.00 after seeing it on Snake keepers webpage. Mine looked close to his so I posted it for 1250.00 shame on me!!!!! I should know better that to try and rip people off.......Well I didn't know it was against the law to have a price that is out of bounds. But anyway back to the subject. I got a lot of crap from a bunch of crap from a bunch of people that think they know what a snake should be sold for. So then I figured I would start doing some more posting of more prices like a 4,500 Normal Female..LMFAO....and then the 15,000 JUNGLE? It's is to get a point across. I don't care how much someone tells me I am posting a snake for is to high I will keep posting. It is my right!!!!!! after all it is MY SNAKE. And the prices might just get higher...LOL...Bottom line is I could care less about selling these snakes but at least AL and everyone of his followers will get entertained. I guess we have all kinds of people in this world. But anyway, Ya'll take it easy
 
What you don't seem to realize is that you are also giving up the right to be taken seriously and also the right to have any credibility in this business. Get a clue boy. This is an adult world you are attempting to play in. Try acting like one. Right now you are coming across as a 12 year old who is screaming at the top of his lungs "It's MY snake and I'll charge what I want!"

The "I was just playing with everyone's head" routine doesn't really wash here either. There have been others who have tried it. (some of them are logged on now) they tried it and ended up in the some position you are headed towards. Laughing stocks and objects of derision in this community.

The herp community is a small close knit group David. Burning bridges and acting like an ass doesn't bode well for you if you plan to stay

Maybe you should master the art of Speaking English before you start butchering someone else's Language. Just a thought. It may be a little "easyier". I'm sorry that so many "poeple" are slamming you but, you bring it on yourself.

You can charge whatever price you feel you can pull in a buyer for. That's the beauty of a free enterprise system. This system is also a two edged sword as if you price too high without providing a value (perceived or real) then your product (in this case BP's) won't sell and you'll be out of business. Those people you quoted as selling snakes for more (Nerd, SnakeKeeper etc) are able to do so because of the time, energy and knowledge they have invested in building their reputations. Those that feel you shouldn't charge any dollar figure you desire are wrong.

The issue (as I see it) comes in the implied genetics your ads are representing. If you watch beer commercials (or new cars, clothes, casinos, investements on and on) you will notice they use hot, young women, fast cars and rich guys to sell their products. The subliminal message is that by using XXX Brand Beer you will achieve these desires. They never say it verbally or in print. Do you know why? Because to say it or even imply it in print or verbally opens you up to false advertisement litigation.

Solution: Write your ads stating that you have a snake with XYZ physical trait (no hint or inference to a genetic trait unless it's proven). Back up the health of the animal. Provide quality customer service. Do this long enough and you can pull higher end pricing.

Just because I don't do everything right and type perfect does not mean I know english, now does it? But whatever you people on here wanna pick apart go right ahead, I think I have better things to do that be a grammer professor. But it's all of you on here that know everything and do not mis-type anything or whatever, I never claimed to be a great fast typist. I try and get this typed as fast as I can and don't always proof read because frankly this forum don't mean that much to me....see ya in slidel
