In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anyone ever purchase anything from them? Considering getting a Blackthroat from them.

I did a search, but came up with nothing.

You can buy with confidence. :)

I haven't actually purchased anything from there, but used to frequent the store itself when I lived in CA. Also had a friend that worked there (Dan Curnow....works there still?) and he was always bringing home some very nice animals.

Rest assure, when you buy from EBV you will be happy. I have done plenty of business with them in the past.

East Bay Vivarium Excellent

EBV is about as good as it gets for a retail reptile store. Their prices are a little bit higher than you might find elsewhere sometimes, but well worth it for the peace of mind of knowing that you are getting a healthy, well represented, well cared for animal, with excellent customer service and support after the sale. Their store in Berkeley is awesome if you get a chance to go - its like browsing the classifieds with real animals in front of you. I have several snakes from them, and have been happy every time. Buy with confidence.

East Bay Vivarium - Awesome !

I can credit the EBV with one of my first reptile purchases. I started doing business with them around 30 years ago, and that in itself is pretty amazing (any business making it 30 years) ! Awesome products with a very knowledgable and friendly staff. Buy with confidence !

Thanks, :D

I just want to echo what everyone else is saying. The East Bay Vivarium is fantastic. They have a great staff and the owners, John and Owen, are two of the nicest, most helpful people. I used to work for EBV so I may be somewhat biased but I not only sold animals for them but bought several animals from them. I think you'll be very satisfied with whatever animal you purchase from them as well as the top-notch customer service you receive!

I used to buy a lot of things from them in the 80's. The last purchase was of 6 indian pythons in 1998. They were healthy and beautiful. It has been a long time but if the owners are the same then they have been in business for a long time and have great stuff.

Sorry, it was actually 1988 that I made that last purchase. Not 1998. (I should proofread my posts, lol)

I've been frequenting EBV for the last 15 years and they've remained a top quality establishment. Excellent animals and a friendly, knowledgable staff.

(including some VERY cute women! :D )

EBV is top notch. The animals I've bought from them are beautiful, and when I have problems with anything in my collection, even if I bought it sommewhere else they will always take the time to answer my questions. The extra money you pay there is for your peace of mind, and it's money well spent!

EastBay Vivarium is a great company. We have done some buisness before. You won't be dissapointed.

East Bay Vivarium - Good Guys - Quality and great service!

I've been looking for a mate for an 04 coxi I received last year from Stephen Emerick (the snakes are all doing great btw Steve!) and noticed that EBV had 2 just hatched females shown on their site. I called in and they provided all the information (even called me back to make sure shipping weather would be good on the East coast). In a little over 12 hours I have my beautiful female coxi settling in to her new home. Thanks East Bay Vivarium! Great transaction and I'll definitely keep checking your site for future purchases.
No pics yet, till she's settled- but she looks just like a little coxi ;).
