In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry: Michael Powell- Quality First Pets Of Texas

I purchased from him early 2008 and I was abit scared. Was my first time buying a animal online. (wasnt a cheap purchase at that) But it arrived when said, great health. Was very pleased with my purchase, the quality & the communication. Would do business with again with thinking twice.

Quality First - Michael Powell

I purchased a beautiful Hogg Island Female from him in May. I feel like I got a super quality animal for the price.

I bought my first online snake from Michael last December. He was not asking extreme prices and he mailed my male pastel ball right on time. I was worried that that the cold might have been a problem, but he was healthy with the heat packs. My ball is the most docile snake I have ever had.

Quality First Pets

I recently bought ten baby ball pythons from QFP for $148 shipped. I do understand that you get what you pay for but this is a little ridiculous. I was assured that all were eating hopper mice regularly. They were not. I also understand that bp's are notoriously finicky eaters, and i get that but not eating to the point of death is a little sketchy, especially when they had no parasites or anything. I have emailed and called them to leave a message, and i still have gotten no response. i know that since it has been over seventy two hours that i will not get replacements but that is not why i was calling. i was asking for help or advice, or if they've had any problems with this and if there was a problem that was fixable, but i have not gotten an email or phone call. when i was doing business with them, they were nice, a little short, but still nice, and i was happy to do business with them. the snakes arrived promptly and seemed to be in good health. i have seven left. I know this happens, but just the fact that they will not reply or get in touch with me is making me never want to do business with them again, and to warn others of what happens after the money changes hands.

Hi m0esgirl,

Terribly sorry to hear about your experience. I was just curious if you have tried feeding rodents scented with gerbils? The BP's I had were CBB so I never had a feeding issue, but I've heard this works with finicky balls. Gerbils are supposed to be the natural food items for BP's in the wild. Also, I assume you are offering live rodents instead of f/t? I would offer live to entice them to eat, and watch to make sure they don't injure the snake while trying to feed. Also, your posting indicated it had been over 72 hours - have you had the snakes at least a week? They should have come to you healthy in the first place, no doubt, but often the snakes won't eat for a few days because of the stress of traveling. Be sure to also make sure the cage is warm enough (but not too hot) and humidity is high enough. If the snakes are uncomfortable for any reason at all, often they will refuse to eat.

:D

Yeah, he got ahold of me, i guess he had some problems with Hurricane Dolly, and i had told him everything about my husbandry and he said it sounded like i was doing everything i could. i waited a full week to feed them, and im meticulous about their temps. but he explained in a nice way that you get what you pay for, and even though it had been over two months since i got them from him, he has still credited me for the cost of the dead snakes. He was super nice, and it was a pleasure to do business with him. i feel kinda bad for making a bad post when he was dealing with a hurricane, so im trying to make it right, he really is a good guy.
