In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry - Misty Sprouse Ball Pythons

I have not purchased from her, but she seems very patient and polite with me while exchanging emails. I think if a few people came on here and said they have done business with her I would buy from her the same day. But...remember they are HETS so I think you are going in the right direction by doing research on the people you may deal with.

Yeah, we have exchanged a few emails thus far, and she has been quick to reply, often only an hour or so after I send, and has also been patient in answering all my questions. And I would like to hear some feedback from past-customers before I commit.

Thank you for your reply Tony!

A piece of advice is to request dated pics with the actual animals for sale in the same photos w/ the parents. Copulations, eggs and hatchings won't hurt either. The cynicysm from Tonychi01 and myself comes directly from experiences w/ scammers. If she's willing to provide (or reasonably attempt to provide) said proof, she may be worth taking a chance with...especially if she has some references.

Either way good luck! And make sure you post if you have a good experience...the more good guys in this community, the better!

I'd be curious to see if anyone has proved out any of her hets yet...I have heard nothing about her, really, good or bad other than what is here. I do know that I have seen her selling hets for the last couple of years, but never any visuals. On her website, it looks like she owns an albino male, and a couple of 100% het girls that should be old enough to have produced by now (02-03 girls).

Not saying anything either way.....but curious.

I only know Misty from the forums and we have exchanged a few emails. I would consider her fairly straight up and honest.

What I remember of her albino projects is that the smaller het females (05s and 06s) are her holdbacks and she has an older on (03?) that is a mouser that she has been trying to get to size - the last I heard she was hoping it would go this season 07/08.

I think because she doesn't have a reputation yet - she was having a hard time selling the male hets so they may have gotten sold off to pet homes.

I'm pretty jaded as far as hets go - but I think if I were in the market I would buy one from her - for what it's worth.

I'm jaded as well...made a mistake w/ Tony Copertino...which is why I'm advising to just make sure all the I's are dotted and T's crossed...and make sure her pics are actually hers.

I also am interested in the hets. ToshaMC, Can you provide a link to the forum where she may have posted? thanks,K

Kingsnake.com - I know she posted a lot of her first few clutch pictures and hets.

I have informed Missy of this thread with a link and asked her if she has anyone that can post as a reference...

hello

hello All

I would be more then happy to provide references and answer any questions.

One girl who bought a male het from me in my first season came back the next year and got a female. A guy who got a male last season also got another male this season. I have happy clients.

To answer your guestion none have proven out yet as the girls from the first year should be producing this year if things go good for me, as they are up to size and age now. I held back all 3 of the females I produced from the first year. I later sold one of the females cause it would only eat mice and I replaced it with a female rat eater from last years clutch. My Albino has been breeding both those females this year as well as the unrelated female het(from camlon) mouse eater that has taken me a long time to get up to size.

So this year I finally hope to see an albino pop out of the egg!!

I am not have a hard time selling the snakes really. Most of my sales come in March-April when all the new babies hatch. Being in California I get babies later then most people which puts me at the end of the season.

My male albino came from albinoballpythons.com who I don't think is still selling snakes but my male is still listed on his site.

Hey Misty,

Just to let you know the snakes are doing great!!! Today was water day, both have shed twice since their arrival, so today everyone got to soak in the sun for about 15minutes while I cleaned and moved the giants.... wanted to know what projects you are currently working on, if you offer any deals to your repeat customers, and if you are currently incubating.. The wheels on my bateater project are turning ever slowly so I have really cranked up my BP projects.. Please put me on your list and let me know the rest,

Thank you,

Dartanya

Hey Misty,

I saw your thread on kingsnake about the light colored spots on the heads. Here is a good shot of Mr. Biggellsworth light head spot. He had a few scales stick from his last shed. He's growing so fast. Very sweet snake.

she has arrived as of 9 am, my time...lol....all is well, she's in perfect shape, and the box was nice and warm, i think it's safe to assume she had a fairly comfortable trip!
thanks again for everything!
John

I purchased a 100% het male from her last year. Top quality snake and fast grower. Eats great too! I will prove him out next year but I have no worries about him being 100% het. Its was great dealing with Misty. She is very kind and great doing business with her. No slick salesman talk like ive got in the past. the exchange was like doing business with a friend.

I encourage anyone to buy from her. Thanks again Misty!!!

John is the one that purchased my picky mouse eater female from the first clutch. The one I held back but later decided to sell and replace with the rat eater one.

Hey!
Totally. He's doing great. He's about 3.8 ft and healthy. Actually
fasting at present, just over 3 mos, but maintaining his weight, and before
that eating very regualrly (every 10 days). Shedding whole every time,
every 2 mos or so.
I wouldn't mind at all being a reference
Any new snakes?

Something about her thorough, knowledgeable explanation of animals, their sources, and her breeding plans leads me to believe she is just an up and coming BP breeder who's trying to build a solid reputation.

Judging by that, I doubt she'd have any problems providing requested verification to prospective buyers.

Good luck to you, Misty and all who are looking to prove your hets over the next couple years. I hope this inquiry morphs into a real "good guy" thread.

I couldn't have said it better. In fact I was impressed enough with that and her prompt emails and willingness to work with my schedule that I purchased a pair from her today...I can't wait to get my Balls :yesnod: Kyle

Got my pair of Ball Pythons het albino from Misty a few days ago. They were shipped perfectly and both are healthy and great looking snakes. Communication was great, she held them for me for a few extra weeks, no charge and no problems...I would highly reccomend doing business with her!
:yesnod:
* Also papers were full page,high-gloss photo of snake with genetics and ID #, signed with photos of both parents, very professional...thanks Misty, I'll update when I hatch first clutch.

I just got my pair yesterday. They arrived promptly and safely around 9:20, and I couldn't be happier. Below is a copy of the e-mail I just sent to Misty:

Misty,

When I picked up the snakes yesterday, I was estatic. The pictures on your website really do not do them justice. They have much more coloring and patteration than any other normal-looking ball python I have ever seen. Both are robust and look extremely healthy...and to top it all off, right after I got them all set up in their enclosures, my pair of leucistic Texas rat snakes started mating to celebrate their arrival! The packaging was very professional, as were the signed glossy cards you sent for each snake, and the feeding cards. I really appreciate everything you have done for me during this whole transaction. I will be brigning up the original post on faunaclassifieds.com and will post a copy of this particular e-mail to you, as well as pictures of the snakes, when I get a chance.

Thanks so much Misty!
-Ayla

--------------------------------------------------------

Misty was really willing to work with me on shipping, as I am not home during the day, and we ended up shipping to my mom's house. As far as communication goes, she is top-of-the-line. Every e-mail I sent to her, she immediately sent me a thourough reply. I really couldn't be happier, and I can't wait till I can prive these hets out, and I'm sure I won't be dissapointed. I hope she can now be known as certified Good Girl from now on!

i bought a pair of het albino about 1 1/2 years ago now. They arrived on time happy and healthy. I am proud to say that the female hit 2300 grams last march when i started putting my pair together. I now have 6 healthy eggs in the bator and am hoping for some albinos!
THANKS MISTY
