While I cannot comment on his animals, Naim Khan (then operating as Amazing Geckos) stiffed us for table fees at our reptile expo a couple of years back.
He had been on our wait list for a table for some time. A cancellation came in, and he told us he would like to reserve it, and that the table check would be sent the following day. 10 days late, a couple of days before the show, I contacted him since we never received payment. He apoligized profusely, and guaranteed "absolutely, 100%" that he would be there, and would pay me the morning of the expo. Against my better judgement, and because he had been a vendor with us once before (and seemed like a nice guy), I agreed to this.
Of course he never showed up. We were sold out, and I turned away a number of other prospective vendors, even late the night before the show. I told him following the show, that if he had had the courtesy to call, even the night before the expo, I could have re-sold the table. Since he did not bother to do so, he was responsible still for the $65 table fee. The table sat there empty for the day with his name on.
Mr. Khan apologized, and promised to send payment. He never did, and refused to return phone calls from then on. The man is a lier, and I would certainly use caution in any business transaction with him.
