Inquiry on bearded pets?

I just finished posting. Do you actually sit here and post all day. That must be a real boring thing to do. I treat all of my animals with respect. I do not think of anything as a "quick buck." To tell you the truth my animals are probably treated better then your wife or girlfriend or whatever you have. Especially if you have to post here all day. All of my animals are in good health and condition. I treat them with as much respect as I can offer. If I were a real scammer no one would receive any of there animals and if they did receive them they would be in horrible condition. Well so far havnt had any problems with that. As far as Lois gos I am not positive what the hell that’s all about since last time I checked she was happy. Do you make any money from the pet trade? How can you if you are sitting and reading all of the threads on fuauna all day?

Yes I spend time on here every day. I work from my home as I am afforded the luxury of owning my own business in the Pet Trade. My wife, daughters, and Granddaughter all get treated wonderfully and I guarantee they and my animals get treated better than you could even think you can imagine that you are treating your animals.

We have heard nothing but garbage from you, your partner, and your supposed business since coming onto the scene. You have been proven that you were ignorant when it came to MANY animals both here and on other sites. You & Your partner are Scammers plain and simple. You advertise animals as c.b. when they are in fact fresh in wild caught animals, you advertise animals as genetic Albino &/or PIED hets when they are more than likely nothing but fresh wild caught and act as if you know about genetics when you were just informed a short while ago about how Genetics works. I should have kept my mouth shut at that time and not tried to help you and I guarantee you would not be selling any animals a Het.

As a matter of fact, I will be contacting Florida FWC tomorrow and having them check and see if you are even licensed. hmmm I am willing to bet your not and in case you don't know, if your not you will get some severe penalties for selling without the required licenses in the state of Florida.

You've even admitted not having the majority of the animals you sell in your possession, so please stop with the "my animals are treated better than...stuff" and to tell you the truth, you are seriously on my last nerve. The name alone is pure ignorance...I mean, I've heard of the "beared bandit", the masked thief that robbed everybody in Bedrock on the Flintstones a long time ago...but what's a beardedpet?? Are you a combination of the Flinstones theif meets the herp biz?? Are you the "bandit"?? Is the internet your "mask"??? Are we as collectors and hobbiest your "Bedrock"??? Well, I've heard enough about you that makes me think that might be the case.

IF Jon Trunk (Bearded Pets) has Ball Python morph breeders in Mexico and Canada, wouldn't he need CITES documents to import them into the US??? I for one would love to see the CITES documentation (which I think is required in this case). If so, any proof of that Jon? I f not, then it would likely be a violation of the Lacey act. I could be wrong, but that's the way I understand importation of any CITES animal. Any thoughts?!

I'm sorry, I must have read your ad wrong. So forget about the question I asked on the whereabouts of the breeder in 4-5 years. I guess "are guarantee she will produce albino" means YOU will guarantee them legit, am I correct??? So let me rephrase the question then. Where will YOU be in the next 4-5 years??? I see the NFL logo stamped all over you guys. Do you know what the NFL stands for??? Not For Long in this business.

I have never seen even a hatchling BP take a mouse pink. They always take larger prey items. Maybe it's a rat pink.

There is no way that animal is 10 months old and only weighs 197 grams.

Sounds like the typical BS from Bearded Pets. This add is just as stupid as the ones for tame alligators. (gators can be trained but never tamed) or the one for the tame nile monitors that love to be held.

When is KS gonna pull their right to post adds. It's obvoius from everything I have seen from them or about them, that they are just out to make a buck and will say anything to sell their "product".

UNREAL. Ya, they get these unwanted animals and sell them as hets, ect. AND they suck at spelling.
 
I bought a pair of "Het. Albino Balls" from them and when they showed up they looked like wc animals. When I asked aboutwhich was male or female this is what they wrote,

"Hi, I can not say right off the top of my head. I think the lighter colord one was a male but im not sure. I fed them last week so they should be fine. You best bet is to wate at least 2 weeks with NO HANDLING ATT ALL and then try feeding them. They need to adjust to there new surroundings and handling them will stress them and dealy this process. You can start handling them after theyve eaten two to three times at least. I know its hard to resist but it is very important untill they get completely comfortable..............thanks"


I know if I have a pir of high end snakes I am going to know which is which.
I was hving problems feeding them and I later asked what they feeding on(rat pinks, small mice, etc.) and how often. This is what they wrote:

I would not be to concerned , ball pythons in general are very picky eaters , sometimes it takes 6 months for a ball python to become used to its new surroundings . They eat at night , we would clear a front portion of the cage for the fusies we fed them fuzies , if you can send picture of enclosure & the snakes i can possibly help , also i would not handle them until they eat & then wait 2 days more . make sure you have a bowl of water that they can get into and soak there entire body .

This sound like the treating of wc animals. ANyway I just found this site so I am Pi**ed off about all of these allegations against them. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and hope for the best.

Did they produce those heteros themselves? Did they provide paperwork? How much did they sell them for?

They said they produced them themselves. The paperwork they gave me was a numbered certificate that says

"This certificate certifies that in the event these identifiable ball pythons breed they are gauranteed after second clutch to produce albino or your money back."

The one certificate is numbered 2020 and the other 2019.There is a little pic of a ball at the top but I don't think it is the balls they sent me. It is hard to tell from such a small pic.

And thirdly they were $650 shipped. I thought the price was kind of risky but I figured the market was just adjusting to all the hets that are being produced.

Well as for their guarantee and paperwork. Up until about roughly 5 months ago Jon Trunk of Bearded Pets had absolutely no clue about Genetics. He was corrected on the Genetics for producing 100% het animals, 66 & 50% possible Het animals by myself and a few others then mysteriously he now has been breeding these animals and knows exactly what he is talking about. I hate to say it but I feel very confident that the animals he is selling as 100% het Albino or Pie-Bald are nothing more than normals and more than likely Wild Caught normals. He and this company (which is not listed with the Florida Division of Corporations) will more than likely be no where to be found when you (and anyone else that purchases these fake hets.) breed them and find out the truth.

Hey Jon Where are you? Have you been paid a visit from Florida Fish & wildlife Yet? hmmm no registration with the Florida Division of Corporations, no record with the Florida FWC? what else will point to you being nothing more than a scammer.
 
That is about what I figured after reading the posts. Like I said I learned a lesson this time and it will never happen again if I can help it. I just can't believe someone would do something like that. I am currently breeding other snakes and I know I would never sell anyone anything other than what I say it is. I guess there are just some real a**holes out there that only care about trying to make money no matter what?:angry: . It breaks my heart to know that there are such scammers in a hobby where trust and good husbandry are a major importance. Anyway I'll quit rambling now and go feed my snakes. Thanks everyone for your input.

Well let me know. I have pretty much given up hope of the hets. I bought them in late Feb. so maybe (yeah right) they are hets. But one still hasn't fed yet so I doubt it.
