    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't recognize the name, but do you have a last name as well? I'd be happy to ask around about him, if you would like.

My one concern would be to find out the origin of the snapper. If it is a Missouri animal (wc in MO), it cannot legally be sold. In Missouri, you can keep up to five live specimens of any one species, but it is illegal to sell anything that was wild caught from Missouri lands, lakes, rivers, or streams.

I'm not saying that this Greg is doing anything wrong, mind you. It's just something I would verify first.

If the snapper is WC in MO, it cannot be sold/traded/raffled off period.

If the snapper was legally obtained from non-MO stock animal, it can be sold in MO (with paperwork proving it was legally obtained out of state). I do believe though that the seller and buyer must both have a valid Wildlife Class I permit.

It is worth checking out with MO DNR before you proceed.

Isn't there a snapper breeder somewhere up around Strafford,MO? I seem to recall an ad for one found in Rpetiles Magazine.

His name is John Richards. He runs loggerhead acres and the website is www.turtleman.com but it looks to be down right now. You may be able to find some contact info on the net somewhere. If you are looking for snappers he's the one to deal with.

Alligator Snapper

If you are purchasing an Alligator Snapper and you live in Texas, they are a protected species and you will need documentation from out of state. Double check with TP&W.
