In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anyone ever dealt with them?

I am thinking of buying a pied male BP from them but when the deposit amount was changed after I emailed them I got suspicious.

It was $600 for the deposit but in his response to me he said the deposit was now raised to $1000. He also changed the ad to reflect the deposit was now $1000.

I'm not sure if I want to deal with someone who changes the terms of the ad just because he got a lot of responses.

He claims it was to give him more piece of mind with the deal but it just seemed odd to me.

If anyone has dealt with them please post and let me know how it went.

Can't be too cautious when dealing with a purchase in the thousands of dollars.

Thanks.

Here is the email exchange. This sounds like a great chance to get a hold of a nice looking male pied but with all the things popping up lately regarding deals thru the net, you can never be too careful.

Hannah,

Let me think about this and get back to you. I also want to check around and see who has done business with you in the past and how it went. You have no feedback and since this is a large purchase I want to cover all the bases first. Also since the terms of the deposit are now changed I am getting a bit nervous. If the deposit amount can change from the time I email you to the time you reply, how can I be sure you won't change the terms in the future if we proceed? Just like you, I need some piec of mind as well before proceeding with any deals over the net. I'll be in touch. Thanks.

Steve,
Thanks for contacting us.
There's so many people interested, I raised the deposit to $1000. This
just gives me a little more 'peace'-of-mind before shipping it out.
The remaining will need to be paid in full within a year prior to you
receiving the snake (i.e. if the ship date for me is 10/1/05, and you
received the animal 10/2/05, then you would have until 10/2/06 to pay
the snake off. Does that make sense?
Also, he will come with a 72 hour health guarantee. This means you
will have 3 days to get him inspected by a veterinarian, and if he is
found unhealthy (and the vet puts this in writing) I will issue you a
refund in exchange for the animal (I would pay shipping back, dead or
alive)
Obviously you won't be issued the genetic guarantee as your snake is
not a normal-colored gene carrying animal, it would be a full-blood
piebald, but he will come with a photo certificate of birth, who bred
him, sire & dam name, all that good stuff.
Let me know if you have any questions and if you're still interested.
I am playing catch-up with all of the emails and phone calls I have
received so bare with me.

Oh well.
It looks like all 10 hets and both pieds are spoken for.
Boy that was fast.
Maybe I should have just sent them the money right away instead of asking questions first.

Steve,
The whole group is pending for someone, but should they come available or anything falls through, I'll let you know.

I have never dealt with Jim, but I have done his show in Austin and the friend I did the show with has known him for many years. As far as I know and from what I learned talking to him, he is a stand up guy and is probably just worried about being ripped off. I know many people around here (San Antonio and Austin) who have done business with him and have nothing but praise about him and his animals. I do understand your reluctance to send someone $1000.00 without knowing who you are dealing with. Especially since the scam level has gone up a few notches over this past summer. I am just glad that school is back in and many of those punks are too busy now to be trying to scam people like they were over the summer vacation. I have spoken to several people who have been taken for much money by what turned out to be a 15 or 16 year old kid. Kind of make you sick and wonder where the hell their parents are and why they weren't taught better.
