Update:
We spoke to Jamal Griffin / [email protected] we talked about the snake he had sent the same photos of the snakes and the pdf file of the paper from nerd. We asked for current pictures the snake.. And guess what? We haven't heard from Jamal Griffin yet. We have call numerous times the numbers he gave us and left messages, We have e-mailed him for the past 3 days and even personal message with "NO RESPONSE"
We then contacted Kara, Kevin, and Bill at N.E.R.D.
And asked about the Pastel.
They could not CONFIRM selling the snake to him..
I will let N.E.R.D. post there own opinion on the post.

Just a quick $.02...
Jamal Griffin contacted us last week regarding paperwork for a pastel that he supposedly purchased from NERD @ the Tinley Park show in Oct. '03.
Couldn't find anything current on him in our computers, and most of our records from '03 are still packed away due to the recent move.
Jamal insisted that he purchased the snake for $1500 cash, so we gave him the benefit of the doubt & sent him an invoice, which has obviously proven to be against our better judgement. The date on the photos he's sending around is 9/03, which is a little sketchy considering the snake was supposedly purchased in 10/03.
We're also not sure why he's offering an adult pastel male for the price he purchased it for as a baby a year & a half ago. Certainly it's his own perogative to sell the animal for whatever price he desires, but it raises the "too good to be true" flag.
Anyway, did we make a bad call? Probably, as we can't 100% confirm that the snake is one of ours.
This one will certainly be chalked up to experience. We apologize for any inconvenience that the situation has caused.

A friend called me last night and asked what I thought about him buying a lot of 20 LTC ball females posted here: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66479
My friend gave me the number and I spoke with a guy at that number of the name "Jamal". He said the females were 6 and 7 year LTC. I told him then, that they are extremely underweight from 1200 to 2400 given they are 7 year LTC's. He said they feed fine with no problems. I then asked if they have bred and what was produced. He said they all have bred and that he bred a normal and a spider to the females.
Now, to really think about that last statement without going in depth is very weird. Why in the world would you breed a normal to a bunch of females if you have a spider? I along with anyone else I am quite sure, wouldn't. Nevertheless, I told my friend "Heck NO!"
I have no idea if there is a connection here, but figured it warranted a little insight.
Just some food for thought.

From my own experience selling you should at least provide a minimum price range and put best offer over that figure. That's totally your businees. If your sale is legit you should post what you've written me in the thread on you. I won't be posting anything else there so hopefully you'll prove yourself trustworthy and all will be fine. hey greg that pastel is mine. and the reason it has c.b. written on it a couple times b/c my name is chris bretton. i am from long island n.y. i did that so no one can take my pics and try to sell as theres. jamal griffin emailed me saying he might be able to get rid of it for me so he said send me pics and give me the info. it came to a suprise to me when i checked fauna that it was here.. i had no idea he was going to post it here, i though he had someone that was interested.

Well, I'd be careful not to get dragged into something. It seems to me if you want to sell your animal then you can post it but Jamal shouldn't be posting your animals for sale without you even knowing it. I think that's kind of hokey if you ask me.

Please someone get this kid out of here ASAP before he rips someone off. I don't believe he has so much as a wiggly worm to sell. He owes a lot of explanation for what he's doing.
